St George's Park, Port Elizabeth will host the 26th game in the CSA T20 Challenge 2019 where Warriors would battle it out against the Dolphins. Warriors come into this game after a confident win against the Lions and have already qualified for the semi-finals. On the other hand, the Dolphins have had a bad season where they have managed just a single win so far.

Over the last few seasons, the Warriors have dominated the Dolphins winning four out of five games against them and never lost a game in St George's Park. Dolphins would have to come up with extraordinary performance in the next game to win it.

Warriors Preview

It was a confident win for the Warriors in the last game against the Lions where they won by 9 wickets. After restricting the Lions to a small total with quality bowling they batted extremely well to win the game with more than five overs to spare. Skipper JJ Smuts would want his side to continue with the same momentum in the next game.

Matthew Breetzke and Gihahn Cloete set up a 107 run partnership to set up the win for the side and both the batsmen made half-centuries in the game. They have a strong batting line-up with the likes of Smuts and Marco Marais in the side. In Sisanda Magala and Onke Nyaku they have good finishers and they would be looking to do well in the next game.

It was a good bowling effort from the side in the last game where Sithembile Langa and Smuts really bowled well. Lutho Sipamla and Andrew Birch returned to form which will add to the confidence of the side as they have so far not done well in the season.

Warriors Predicted Playing XI:

JJ Smuts (c), Andrew Birch, Gihahn Cloete, Sisanda Magala, Lutho Sipamla, Matthew Breetzke, Jade de Klerk, Marco Marais, Sithembile Langa, Sinethemba Qeshile (wk), Onke Nyaku

Warriors Actual Playing XI:

Andrew Birch, Sithembile Langa, JJ Smuts, SSB Magala, Onke Nyaku, Sinethemba Qeshile, Lutho Sipamla, Marco Marais, Matthew Breetzke, Gihahn Cloete, Jade de Klerk

Dolphins Preview

Their last game against the Knights has washed away which now makes it two in a row and four for the season. In the remaining four games they have managed to win just once. Khaya Zondo would be upset with the performance of his side so far and would be hoping for a better show in the next game.

In their last game against Titans that saw a result, Morne van Wyk did well with the bat and there was a good contribution from Cody Chetty as well. Sarel Erwee hasn’t done well which is a cause of worry for the side. In the lower middle order, Robbie Frylinck and Khaya Zondo will need to keep up with their performance to win the game for the side.

Bowling has been a worry for the side for most of the season. Prenelan Subrayen and Daryn Dupavillon have been the only bowlers who have done well for the side in the season. The form of Robbie Frylinck and Andile Phehlukwayo hasn’t been good and they will need to bring out their best performance for the side to win.

Dolphins Predicted Playing XI:

Morne van Wyk (wk), Robbie Frylinck, Prenelan Subrayen, Andile Phehlukwayo, Cody Chetty, Keshav Maharaj, Khaya Zondo (c), Sibonelo Makhanya, Daryn Dupavillon, Sarel Erwee, Marques Ackerman

Dolphins Actual Playing XI:

P Subrayen, Sibonelo Makhanya, C Chetty, Andile Phehlukwayo, Keshav Maharaj, Senuran Muthusamy, Daryn Dupavillon, Mv Wyk, Khaya Zondo, Robbie Frylinck, VBV Jaarsveld

Weather Conditions

It is expected to be partly cloudy at Port Elizabeth on April 26. With overcast conditions, the pitch is likely to assist the fast bowlers. Batting won’t be easy on this surface as the ball is expected to move in the air and the team that bats first would be comfortable with a score of around 150 runs.

Venue

St George's Park, Port Elizabeth has historically been a good surface for the fast bowlers. There is good bounce and carry which is difficult to negotiate with the new ball. But batsmen who keep their eyes on the ball also find it a great surface as the ball comes on to the bat

Toss: To Bowl

Sides bowling first on this surface have always had the advantage and exploited the early assistance that is on offer. Give the chances of rain in the game the side batting second would have an advantage. Captain winning the toss would like to bowl on this surface first.

Warriors have played well this season and if luck would have been on their side they could have easily had a couple of more wins. Dolphins, on the other hand, have just one win. They had started the season winning the first game but since then have found it pretty difficult and at the moment suffer from lack of confidence. Warriors would definitely start as favorites for this game.
