Jonny Bairstow’s side has started the tournament on a winning note. The side comes here after their 5-run win against the Northern Superchargers where their players held their nerves in the final moments to snatch a win after all had looked lost. Bairstow would now be aiming for the side’s second consecutive win in the tournament here. 

Bairstow is in good form, and he’d aim to set up a good opening stand in the game with Tom Banton. The middle order has good experience for the side with Ben Duckett, Glenn Phillips and James Neesham in the side and all these players have good strike rates. Lower down the order Matthew Critchley, Ian Cockbain and Liam Plunkett are good at using the long handle and scoring quick runs. 

Qais Ahmad made the difference in the last game with his 4 wickets and the side would have high expectations from him. Rest of the bowlers struggled with their line and lengths and hence the side would expect early wickets with the new ball from David Payne and Matthew Critchley. Jake Ball and Plunkett will have to play good supporting acts in this game.

James Vince’s side was literally blown away in the last game. It was poor efforts with the bat and the ball from the players that saw them going down by 9 wickets against the Trent Rockets. They will have to recover from this loss and win this game to earn their first points of the season. 

The side would need a good start from Vince and Devon Conway after their failure in the last game. The middle order too struggled with Alex Davies, Delray Rawlins and Colin de Grandhomme not contributing much. They would need contributions down the order from Ross Whiteley, Liam Dawson and Chris Jordan as their top order isn’t in the best of form. 

Their bowling attack was torn apart in the last game and the side would expect early wickets here from Tymal Mills and George Garton. Liam Dawson and Danny Briggs were expensive and have a very important role to play against the strong batting line-up that their opponents have. Jordan and de Grandhomme have to play good supporting acts.
