Southern Brave Women looked in good touch in the last game winning it by 23 runs. Their bowlers did well to defend the low total in the game. The Welsh Fire Women would be under pressure in this game after suffering that massive loss and it will be interesting to see if they are able to make a strong comeback playing at home.
Sophie Luff’s side has started the season with a loss. Their batters let the side down in the last game putting up only 130 runs on the board in the last game. Bowlers too didn’t fare well which resulted in 6-wicket loss for the side. Luff would be looking for a good show from her players in this game as a win here would restore their confidence.
Bryony Smith and Hayley Matthews got starts in the last game and they would look to convert them into big scores here. Their middle order failed in the last game and the trio of Alice Macleod, Georgia Redmayne and Sarah Taylor will need to bat well for the side to win. Down the order Luff and Georgia Hennessy shall look to push up the scoreboard with big hits in this game.
Bryony Smith and Matthews have to bowl tight lines with the new ball as they were expensive in the last game. Piepa Cleary showed good promise with her tight bowling and shall have a very important role to play in this game. The side would also hope to see tight spells from Nicole Harvey, Georgia Hennessy and Alex Griffiths in this game.

The skies over Cardiff shall see clouds on July 27 with good chances of rain during the game. Batting conditions are expected to be tough, and batters have to focus on accumulating runs here. The side batting first would like to put up 140 runs or above on this wicket.
Sophia Gardens, Cardiff is a big ground, and this has always created challenges for batters who have to avoid playing the ball in the air. There is assistance for fast bowlers on this surface early on in the game. Spinners have done well here in the past as there is turn and bounce on offer.
We have seen lots of runs being scored on this surface in the recent games and sides have also managed to chase down big scores. It is always a challenge to set up a total at this venue and hence the side that wins the toss is likely to opt for batting first on this wicket.
Welsh Fire Women looked out of form in the last game and most of their batters weren’t able to apply themselves. They will also need to make corrections with their bowling line and length as this is a problem for the side. Southern Brave Women come into this game after a big win and have momentum on their side which will make them confident in this game.
