This T20I series followed immediately after West Indies triumphed in the ODI series 2-1, but there has been no momentum taken into this shorter format with England cruising to two victories in Barbados.
But a switch of islands, and a new ground in the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, could be just what West Indies need after being out-played in both of the openers. Unsurprisingly, there have been changes to West Indies' squad ahead of this game and the home supporters will be desperate to see them make a difference and keep the series alive.
England have outplayed West Indies with both bat and ball so far in this series and the hosts need one of their top players to wrestle the initiative back towards the Men in Maroon in this game. The questions is - will England allow them to do so?
After two T20Is with no batter making a half-century and only five wickets taken in total by the bowling attack, something is going to have to change for West Indies in this game. It might need Romario Shepherd, their leading wicket taker with three dismissals and their second highest run scorer in the series, to go up the order, or it may be that the returning Alzarri Joseph is able to give them enough aggression with the ball to stop England's attacking run scoring approach.
Joseph has been suspended for the last two games after showing ill-discipline in the final ODI in Barbados but he is undoubtedly one of their strongest and most consistent all-format bowlers.
Captain Rovman Powell will be without all-rounder Andre Russell, who will miss the rest of the series through injury, and will be looking to his spinners to step up in this match. Terrance Hinds, who made his international debut in the last game, is expected to miss out.
Pooran has smashed three sixes in the series so far, all in the first T20I. At Gros Islet, he averages 2.57 sixes per game. On a pitch that offers good bounce and carry, Pooran is likely to clear the ropes with ease. With the series on the line, we expect the southpaw to make a significant impact with the bat.

For England, this series has been a real breath of fresh air after they lost the ODIs and were accused in some quarters of not taking white ball cricket seriously enough. However, the return of captain Jos Buttler has proved to be a huge plus for the side with his calm leadership a feature of both T20Is in the series so far.
That's not to say that his batting has also not been impressive. After his return to competitive cricket with the bat following a four month injury lay-off lasted only one ball in the opening game, he was back to his best and took the Player of the Match award on Sunday with 83 not out from 45 balls. Phil Salt got a golden duck in the last match but the keeper-batter has been in fine form throughout this tour.
With the ball, Saqib Mahmood has been England's and the series' top performer and will be looking to dismiss Brandon King in his first over for the third successive game when this T20I gets underway on Thursday evening.
Phil Salt has been in exceptional form in the Caribbean, particularly against the West Indies. In this series, he has accumulated 103 runs, although he failed to score in the last match. In his two previous matches at Gros Islet, he scored 98 runs. Considering his recent form, we believe Phil Salt is the best bet to score over 23.5 runs.
England have been on a rampage, capitalizing on the field restrictions in the first two T20Is, scoring 73 and 56 runs respectively. The Windies bowlers have struggled to contain Jos Buttler and Phil Salt's aggressive batting. Given the batting-friendly conditions at the Darren Sammy Cricket Stadium, we predict another high-scoring powerplay for England in the third T20I.
Phil Salt (wk), Will Jacks, Jos Buttler (c), Liam Livingstone, Jacob Bethell, Sam Curran, Dan Mousley, Jamie Overton, Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, Saqib Mahmood

Typical Caribbean weather conditions are forecast for this game with humidity high throughout and the threat of rain never too far away. Equally, it will be very warm and it would be a surprise to see any of the players in the field without plenty of sweat on their shirts!

This is a good batting wicket in Gros Islet and one where India skipper Rohit Sharma hit 92 runs from 41 balls in the last T20I here. Equally, in the last head to head between England and West Indies at this venue, Phil Salt also produced a Player of the Match performance so expect good pace in the wicket and the top order batters will be able to take full advantage during the power-play.
The last time these two teams played at Gros Islet, the combined total was 361 runs. The average total match score in the last five games at this venue is 348 runs. Given the batting-friendly pitch and the current form of both teams, we anticipate a high-scoring match with a total score exceeding 360.5 runs.
With four of the last five T20Is at this venue won by the team batting first, we expect both sides to want to post a total in the first innings of the game. This will be a change for England who have won both of the games in this series after fielding first and then chasing down a total.
West Indies are the type of side who can produce a victory from nowhere and T20 cricket is certainly the format where form can be thrown out of the window and turned on its head. However, both teams are at the opposite extremes with regard to form at the moment and England have looked so much stronger with both bat and ball. With respect to the hosts, they have fielded well, but we still expect them to be beaten and lose the series in this match.
