00.0England look to continue their white ball supremacy in T20Is against West Indies
ENGLAND will win the match & go up 1-0
Tournament: England tour of West Indies, 2022 | Format: T20I | Venue: Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados | Toss: To Bat
Bet NowEngland and West indies come into this series after their respective losses in Ashes and ODI series against Ireland. Despite the losses being in other formats both teams will be eager to get back to winning ways with a victory in the first match of the tour. England will be going ahead with a completely different squad from the squad that played ashes while West Indies will have almost the same squad that played the ODI series. England has been in excellent form in the T20Is for the last 2-3 years but West Indies has lost their mojo as one of the strong t20 sides in the last year.
West Indies has a lot of few faces in the squad with the Kieron Pollard at the helm. Shai Hope and Brandon King are expected to open with Kieron Pollard, Nicholas Pooran, Darren Bravo, and Roston Chase expected to play a huge role in the middle order. They have great depth in batting line-up with the likes Holder, Shepherd, and Odean Smith.
Sheldon Cotrell and Jason Holder will lead their pace attack with the likes of Romario Shepherd and Odean Smith in the playing XI. Dominic Drakes and Kyle Mayers are the reserve pacers in the squad. Akeal Hossain and Roston Chase will be their first choice spinners with Fabian Allen and Hayden Walsh waiting in the ranks for their chance.
Key players to bet on:
Shai Hope – Shai Hope scored 99 runs in the Ireland series and was looking in great touch with a quick fire fifty in the last ODI match. We expect him to play a big role in setting up the innings for their tam in this match.
Jason Holder – Holder can be valuable asset for any team in the T20 matches with his ability to bowl the hard lengths and score some quick runs lower down the order.
Brandon King, Shai Hope, Kieron Pollard, Nicholas Pooran, Darren Bravo, Roston Chase, Jason Holder, Romario Shepherd, Akeal Hossain, Sheldon Cotrell, Odean Smith
Eoin Morgan will return to captain the England side with Moeen Ali being his deputy for this series. Tom Banton and Jason Roy will open the batting with Liam Livingstone, Sam Billings, Moeen Ali, and Eoin Morgan expected to form the core of the middle order batting. James Vince might be additional batter in the playing XI in this match.
Tymal Mills, Chris Jordan, and Saqib Mahmood will be their pace attack for this match with the likes George Garton and Reece Topley as the reserve options in the squad. Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali will take care of the spin bowling duties with Livingstone and Vince capable of giving some valuable overs in the middle.
Key players to bet on:
Tymal Mills – Mills has been in good rhythm in the BBL played recently and will be looking to prove his mettle for the national side. He is excellent exponent of the slow ball and variations and will be a tough bowler to face on his prime.
Moeen Ali – Moeen Ali has been in superb touch with the bat and he has the capability to help team win matches with both bat and ball. We expect him lead his team from the front with the bat and ball.
Tom Banton, Jason Roy, Liam Livingstone, Sam Billings, Moeen Ali, Eoin Morgan, Jmaes Vince, Tymal Mills, Chris Jordan, Saqib Mahmood, Adil Rashid
Barbados will have overcast and cloudy conditions with just 10% chances of precipitation as per weather forecast. We expect rain to stay away from this game for the most part.
Kensington Oval is a kind of tricky surface with low bounce and slowness of the surface. Batters usually need to apply themselves before going for the big shots and the highest target chased here is just 155 runs. We expect average scores to be in the range of 140-160 runs in this match.
Batting first will be a no brainer in this match unless overcast conditions prompt the captains to bowl first here. The pitch might slow down as the match progresses causing the ball to stop and come.
Both teams miss a lot of regular players in the squad but England has a better team owing to their experience and quality of players. West Indies has a lot of exciting players are failing to put up a performance as a team. Both teams have an excellent depth in batting and variety in their bowling attack with different options. We expect England to win this match owing to their consistency and success in the longer time frame over the past 2-3 years.
ENGLAND will win the match & go up 1-0
