England and West Indies are in a stalemate in the T20I series after England won the second T20I match by 1 run. England will be delighted after they pulled off a victory but will be looking at the areas to make changes to keep their best XI going forward in this match. West Indies despite the loss made a spirited fightback in the last game to lose by the narrowest of margins. They will be high on confidence and will look to win this match and take the lead over the England.

West Indies Preview

Nicholas Pooran (24 runs) and Darren Bravo (20 runs) tried to steady their chase after the early dismissal of both the openers cheaply. But, their middle order collapsed from 47/2 to 65/7 as they looked down and out in the chase with 98/8 in the 15 overs. Romario Shepherd and Akeal Hossain then launched a counterattack with 44 runs each but ended up losing the match by 1 run.

All the 6 bowlers used by West Indies picked up at least a wicket in the match. Jason Holder and Fabian Allen picked up 2 wickets each but the later went for too many runs. Akeal Hossain, Kieron Pollard, Romario Shepherd, and Cotrell chipped in with a wicket each in the match.

Key players to bet on:

Nicholas Pooran – Pooran got starts in both the matches with 27* & 24 but will be dejected after he failed in the second game to make a big score. We expect him to make a big score in this match.

Akeal Hossain – Hossain scored 44 runs off 16 balls and almost did the impossible of scoring 30 runs off last over. He has bowling figures of 1/15 & 1/16 in the 2 matches putting the brakes on the scoring rate in the middle overs.

West Indies Predicted Playing XI:

Brandon King, Shai Hope, Kieron Pollard, Nicholas Pooran, Darren Bravo, Fabian Allen, Jason Holder, Romario Shepherd, Akeal Hossain, Sheldon Cotrell, Odean Smith

England Preview

England openers Tom Banton (25 runs) and Jason Roy (45 runs) started off positively with a 36-run partnership and Moeen Ali (31 runs) continued the good work in the middle overs. Their middle order suffered a mini collapse and Chris Jordan gave a late surge to their total with his 15-ball 27 runs as they ended with 171 runs.

Reece Topley gave a good start dismissing the both the openers inside the powerplay. Spinners Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali bowled superbly with good control and accuracy in the middle overs as they toppled the West Indies batters with combined figures of 8-1-48-5. Saqib Mahmood and Chris Jordan went for too many runs in the death overs which almost caused them to lose the match.

Key players to bet on:

Jason Roy – Roy looked in superb touch scoring 45 runs off 28 balls with 6 boundaries and 2 sixes. His partnerships with Banton and Ali gave their batting line-up the much needed momentum.

Moeen Ali – Moeen Ali made a brilliant comeback with bat and ball scoring 31 runs and bowling figures of 4-0-24-3 in the match. He will be a vital player in England`s set up for the upcoming white ball matches.

England Predicted Playing XI:

Tom Banton, Jason Roy, Liam Livingstone/James Vince, Sam Billings, Moeen Ali, Eoin Morgan, Liam Dawson, Reece Topley, Chris Jordan, David Payne, Adil Rashid

Weather Conditions

Barbados will have bright and sunny weather conditions with just 10% chances of precipitation as per weather forecast. We expect rain to stay away from this game.

Venue Details

Kensington Oval is a tricky surface with uneven bounce and slowness on the surface. Batters usually need to apply themselves before going for the big shots. We expect average scores to be in the range of 160-170 runs in this match.

Toss: To Bat

Chasing is the best option in the T20I matches but the ball might not come onto the bat in the middle overs in the second innings with spinner’s operating in tandem. We expect both captains to bat first if they win the toss.

England dearly miss some of their regular players yet managed to win the last game. Death bowling is their biggest worry and will be eager to make changes to it in this match.  West Indies showcased their batting depth and fighting spirit in the last game despite losing the match. But, their middle order`s inconsistency might come back to haunt them in any match. We expect England to win this match owing to their squad strength and experience in the T20Is.

ENGLAND will win the match & go up 2-1
