It will be an interesting North Group game in the Vitality T20 Blast 2022 where hosts Yorkshire Vikings would take on Notts Outlaws. The Vikings did well in the last game against Durham Cricket to register a big win while the Outlaws suffered a heartbreaking loss against the Birmingham Bears where they fell short by 1 run.
Over the last few seasons, the Outlaws have dominated the Yorkshire Vikings winning the last six games between the two teams. This would pose a mental obstacle for the Vikings as their bowlers are yet to strike form in the tournament. We expect this to be a close game as both sides have decent firepower and the one that holds the nerves is likely to win.
David Willey’s side put behind the upset of three games to register its second victory of the season in the last game. It was an excellent fightback from their batsmen against Durham Cricket as they chased down a big total with more than two overs to spare. Willey would like to see his bowlers come up with better efforts against the Outlaws as failed to execute their plans in the last game.
Adam Lyth and Finn Allen offered an electrifying start to the side in the last game and a similar show would put the side in a strong position. Willey played a captain’s knock taking his side over the finishing line and he would like to set up partnerships with Harry Brook and Will Fraine. Jonathan Tarrersall and Jordan Thompson shall look to do the big-hitting towards the end.
Their bowlers had a poor outing in the last game and the side would like to see Willey and Dom Bess get their lines right in the early overs of the game. Adil Rashid went for runs in the last game and as the most important bowler in the side, he will have to do well here. Dominic Drakes, Matthew Revis, and Thompson must do well in the supporting role for the side to win.

It was a heartbreak for Daniel Christian’s side in their last game against the Birmingham Bears. In a rain-affected game that was reduced to 8 overs per side, the Outlaws lost by 1 run. They have to come out of this and do well here. They have enjoyed an excellent record against Yorkshire over the years and Christian would like to extend it here.
The side has firepower at the top with Alex Hales and Joe Clarke opening the batting for them, and the pair would look to add quick runs. The middle-order has done well, and they would like to see runs from the bats of Ben Duckett, Tom Moores, and Christian. Samit Patel is a reliable player, and he will have to do well in the finishers’ role with Calvin Harrison.
Jake Ball and Matthew Carter would have to make good use of the new ball as the Yorkshire batsmen announced their intent in the last game. Patel and Steven Mullaney are enjoying a good run and know the conditions well at the venue. James Pattinson, Christian, and Harrison shall look to make it work on this game.

There would be slightly overcast skies over Leeds on June 06 and the ball is expected to move around a bit during the early overs. The wicket has been flat, and batsmen would be able to play their strokes on this surface. A score above 170 runs would be a good one on this surface.
Headingley, Leeds is one of the best venues for T20 cricket as there is something for the batsmen and bowlers here. The ball comes onto the bat nicely which allows easy run-scoring. The bowlers also generate pace and bounce off the surface in the early overs. The wicket doesn’t offer much to the spinners and they have to rely on their variations.
Four games have been played here this season and on three occasions the side chasing the score has registered big wins. The wicket is flat and allows big run chases. The side winning the toss would keep this in mind. In all likelihood, they would opt for bowling first on this wicket.
Yorkshire Vikings have struggled with the ball and we saw it in the last game where the side failed to take advantage of the early conditions. This is one area the side would look to improve as their batsmen are enjoying out in the middle. Notts Outlaws have enjoyed an excellent record against Yorkshire and have depth in their bowling. This would make them favorites to win this contest.
