Pakistan`s tour of Zimbabwe comes to an end with the second and final test at Harare. Pakistan won the T20I series 2-1 & won the first test by an innings margin. They will look to end the tour on a high with a test win and whitewash them by 2-0. Zimbabwe on the other hand have won only T20I match on the tour so far. They will be eager to perform well and give a tough fight to the Pakistan team in this match. They don’t Test matches very often and will look to give a spirited performance to prove their worthiness in this format.

Zimbabwe were bowled out for 176 & 134 runs in the two innings respectively. Roy Kaia (48 runs) and Tarisai Musakanda (43 runs) were the top scorers for the team with 40+ runs and no player scored at least a fifty for Zimbabwe in the test. They failed to make their 20+ & 30+ starts into a big score last game.

Muzurbani and Donald Tiripano were the chief wicket takers as they claimed 7 wickets between them in the match. Tendai Chisoro and Ngarawa claimed the wickets of the openers to end the big partnership at the top. Their bowling attack was not consistent and the opposition easily scored a massive 476 runs.

Brendan Taylor – Taylor is one of the experienced senior players in the team. He scored just 5 & 29 in the first match and will need to step up to make a big score in this match.  He must lead his team in the batting department especially.

Fawad Alam lead the team`s batting with his fourth century to a massive score of 476 runs. Earlier Imran Butt (91 runs) and Abid Ali (60 runs) set the tone of their innings with an important 115-run opening partnership. Azhar Ali, Rizwan, ad Hasan Ali chipped in with cameos to build partnerships.  

Pacers Hasan Ali (9 wickets) and Shaheen Afridi (4 wickets) were the chief tormentors as they ran through the opposition batting line-up. Spinner Nauman Ali claimed 3 wickets while Fahreem Ashraf chipped in with one wicket in the match.

Fawad Alam – Fawad Alam has been phenomenal since his return with 3 centuries in 6 matches. He scored 140 runs and lead his team`s batting unit last game. We expect him to make a big score in this match too.   

Hasan Ali – Hasan Ali had bowling figures of 4/53 & 5/36 in the two innings respectively.  He haalso scored a quick fire 30 runs with the bat. He was duly awarded Mano of the amcth for his all-round performance.

Harare will have a hot and humid climate on all the match days with good temperatures in the early twenties. We expect a full match with no interruptions from weather.

Venue Details

Harare pitch assisted the pace bowlers and they took the most of the wickets in the first game. Spinners might get more help owing to the used nature of the pitch. Batsmen will find run scoring easy in the first 3 days if they apply themselves on this track.

Batting first is the best option on this pitch as the pitch deteriorates and will be hard to bat on the fourth innings especially.
