Last week, all the eyes of the cricket world suddenly fell on Bulawayo as it looked like Wiaan Mulder was going to break Brian Lara's world record Test score of 400 not out.
Mulder chose not to go for the record and instead declared at lunch on day two, one of the first steps towards South Africa's heavy victory to take the series 2-0.
It is hard to see that there will be quite so much interest in this white-ball series between the sides but it still promises to be an intriguing contest, starting with this T20I in Harare.
With two different captains from the Tests, we can expect a change in tempo and attitude from both teams as the series gets underway!

It's certainly fair to say that Zimbabwe have not been prioritising this format of late and this will be the first time they have played a T20I since beating Ireland by three wickets with four balls remaining back in February.
However, after the run around and heavy loss in Harare in the second Test, there will probably be a relief across the Zimbabwe side to see a new series and a switch of the ball from red to white.
Zimbabwe beat Ireland in that T20I series which was dominated by the weather back in February and this will be a much sterner test against South Africa in Harare.
Led by Sikandar Raza, expect the team to play with freedom with Brian Bennett, Ryan Burl, Raza, Blessing Muzarabani and Richard Ngyarava the key players.

South Africa had some big names missing in their Test side in Bulawayo last week and the same will be true ahead of this opening T20I in Harare on Monday afternoon.
Nevertheless, it's an exciting group of South Africa players, many with plenty of international experience, who will take to the field looking to go 1-0 up in the series.
With the bat, the exciting Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Reeza Hendricks will open before skipper Rassie van der Dussen provides an anchor.
Then expect some stroke-making from Dewald Brevis, Corbin Bosch, George Linde and Lungi Ngidi.
With the ball, Ngidi will be relentless and will bowl at a good speed but it's the real pace of Gerald Coetzee and Nandre Burger who could provide the fireworks for the tourists.

It will be warm but not too hot in Harare on Monday afternoon with the temperature in the high teens and early twenties. There is no danger of any rain interruptions.

Average Turn
This Harare pitch used to be a spinners paradise but it no longer turns quite so much. Expect good carry and a consistent bounce with a par score no higher than 180.
The pitch is likely to slow down a little across the game so we predict that both teams will be looking to bat first and set a target to chase when the captains go out for the toss.
We fully expect Zimbabwe to put in a stronger showing in this format than we saw in Harare in the second Test but the reality is that South Africa have much more talent. We are predicting an away win to kick off the T20I series.
We are backing South Africa to win!
