Arsenal’s push for a first Premier League title in almost two decades enters the final run of fixtures, now that the international break has ended.

Mikel Arteta knows that he and his players have 10 games left to remain at the top of the league and hold off the challenge of Pep Guardiola and Manchester City.

The Gunners are in exceptional form, winning each of their last six in the league and stretching their lead to eight points, although City have a game in hand. A big win would help here.

Leeds are starting to feel more confident about their chances of survival after picking up their second victory since the arrival of Javi Gracia.

The new manager has instilled a level of organisation and focus that wasn’t there under Jesse Marsch. Now into 14th, three or four wins from their remaining 11 games should be enough for survival.

With Arsenal out of the remaining domestic and European cup competitions, Mikel Arteta knows that Arsenal have exactly 10 games left this season to claim silverware.

Their destiny is in their hands and if they win their remaining games, including the crunch fixture against Manchester City, they’ll be Premier League champions.

That game, coming up towards the end of April, will go a long way to deciding whether the trophy will end up. The Gunners must also play Liverpool and Chelsea this month, before travelling to Newcastle at the start of May.

For this game, you would expect Arsenal to show the same kind of form that led them to their current six-game winning streak.

They’ll miss William Saliba, of course, who will sit out injured. Rob Holding is likely to replace him.

Saka’s star continues to rise, especially off the back of impressive performances in an England shirt recently. He’s the only Premier League player to reach double figures for goals (12) and assists (10) this season.

     Scored six goals in their last two fixtures

Reasons to be fearful

     Won just two of their last 23 games against teams at the top

     Claimed victory from none of their last 13 against Arsenal

Leeds’ only priority right now is survival. 

Even Javi Gracia, an experienced top-division manager from across Europe, has only been hired for the remainder of the season to try and ensure they remain in the Premier League.

After that, they can take stock and presumably reset the club in the summer months with new players and, quite possibly, another new coach.

Right now, things are heading in that direction. Two wins and a draw from their last four games shows improvement – their defeat during that period was against Chelsea.

They’ve also upped the ante in terms of goalscoring, with six in their last two matches. In knocking four past Wolves, The Whites moved to within a place and a point of the Wanderers.

Another win here would be precious, although their record against the Gunners is poor and they’d need to be at their best to stand a chance.

Star Man – Wilfried Gnonto

Gnonto continues to produce in a Leeds shirt and is one of their best routes to goal when in this kind of form. His assist against Wolves set the ball rolling for victory.
