Arsenal’s quest to end nearly 20 years of Premier League pain continues, with the Gunners extending their lead at the top of the table to seven points.

A fine win away to Brighton, not an easy task by any means, showcased Arsenal’s undoubted quality in all areas, not to mention excellent management from Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners now have a seven-point lead over Manchester City and they are showing no signs of slowing down as the season heats up.

Game after game, test after test, Arsenal are moving closer to their first Premier League title in 19 seasons. It’s been one hell of a wait for their fans.

Mikel Arteta has had his critics, most often from among Arsenal’s fanbase, but no one is doubting his methods right now. Some believe that Arsenal will crumble, but those voices are being silenced with each win.

To go to Brighton, a famously tough place to go and get three points, and claim victory was a fantastic achievement for Arsenal – it was one they arguably wouldn’t have got in recent seasons.

Although Arteta is missing Gabriel Jesus, the fact that Arsenal had four different scorers against Brighton shows that they aren’t reliant on any one individual.

With almost a full squad of players to choose from here, they will give everything they have to win for the 10th consecutive game at home.

     Lost all of their last 11 away games to the Gunners

     Isak, Shelvey, Targett, Krafth, and Dummett remain injured

Not in their wildest dreams could Newcastle fans have imagined just how quickly their team could have risen up the table.

When the money rolled in, most would have predicted that it would take a couple of seasons at least before they would be challenging near the top.

Within a year, the Magpies find themselves two points off Manchester City and nine adrift of Arsenal after a stellar start to the campaign. Eddie Howe can take great pride in the job he has done at St James’.

Here, the Magpies have a poor record away to Arsenal to overturn, having lost every one of their last 11 visits to the Emirates. 

On the other hand, they come into this full of confidence, with the best defence in the league and 14 games unbeaten in a row in all competitions. 

Allan Saint-Maximin could come back in after a spell on the sidelines, as could Callum Wilson in place of Chris Wood.
