Arsenal aiming to put Europa League exit behind them with must-win West Brom game
Arsenal to win 3-1
Tournament: Premier League 2020-2021 | Venue: London, Emirates Stadium
Bet NowArsenal must quickly recover from the immense disappointment of dropping out of the Europa League in midweek, a competition which would have given them entry to the Champions League if they had won it.
As it stands, the Gunners have precious little hope of qualifying for Europe next season anyway, but their hopes faded completely with that disappointing result.
Now they must pick themselves up and try to win their remaining four games of the season, none of which sound particularly easy. With Mikel Arteta’s job surely under pressure, he’ll be desperate for his team to start delivering here.
West Brom are a far better unit these days when compared to how they were at the start of the season, with two wins and two draws coming from their last five fixtures.
Their chances of recovering from the position that they are in are almost impossible, but with Big Sam at the helm, you know they will continue trying until the end.

Reasons to be cheerful:
Have a huge point to prove after midweek failure
Kieran Tierney could be fit to return at left back
Reasons to be fearful:
The likes of Xhaka and Luiz are injury doubts
Failed to score in 12 league games this season
Arsenal’s season has virtually fallen flat on its face, and with only four games left for them to play in the league, there will now be serious questions over Mikel Arteta’s future as Gunners manager.
Although many of the Bix Six teams started the season poorly, most of them have recovered and are either back inside the top four, or challenging for it. Arsenal, on the other hand, are the odd ones odd, suffering down in 10th place.
Against West Brom, they at least have a good history of winning. The Gunners have won 10 of their 12 home games against the Baggies and will be hoping that good form can continue here.
They could have Kieran Tierney back in the side, one of their best players this season, although Xhaka and David Luiz may miss out.
Star Man – Alex Lacazette
The French striker has four goals in his three previous appearances against West Brom.
Form Guide (all comps): WWLDD
Reasons to be cheerful:
Just one defeat from the last five
Should be better rested than Arsenal
Reasons to be fearful:
Maitland-Niles cannot play against his parent club
Have lost seven successive away games to Arsenal
Should West Brom lose this game, they will be officially relegated from the Premier League with survival firmly out of reach.
Even if they win, survival is extremely unlikely, but that will not stop them giving everything to pick up three points here. Their form has been good recently too, picking up more points than their opponents over their last five games.
They will be better rested than Arsenal too, although their opponents will have a point to prove after a disappointing result in midweek.
The Baggies will be without Ainsley Maitland-Niles here, as the youngster cannot play against his parent club, while Snodgrass will miss the remainder of the season due to a back problem.
Star Man – Mbaye Diagne
The big centre forward is a handle for any defence, let alone one as flimsy as Arsenal’s
Arsenal’s forward line make them favourites
West Brom won’t be afraid to come forward
Could be goals at both ends
West Brom must win here to avoid relegation, but regardless the Baggies will play to win anyway. They have built up a confidence over the past month or so, with a couple of recent wins under their belt.
Despite that, Arsenal will be desperate to return to winning ways, helping them get over their dreadful result in midweek, and keep their top half finish alive.
The Gunners are favourites here, especially if their forward line play well.
