Arsenal have demonstrated over the first few months of this season how capable they are of winning the title this season, holding onto their lead despite the attentions of Manchester City.

With the injury to Gabriel Jesus at the World Cup prompting many to predict Arsenal’s downfall, we’ll now see the strength of Mikel Arteta’s men.

The Gunners carried on from where they left off in their win over West Ham a few days ago and will aim to continue their wonderful form here.

Brighton will present one of the trickiest tests that the Gunners have had so far this season. The Seagulls have coped well with a change of manager early on in the campaign and now look strong under Roberto De Zerbi.

They’ll be fired up for this one and desperate to prove that they belong among the big boys near the top end of the table.

Usually, you would associate Brighton with excellent home form and then the ability to pick up one or two points on their travels here and there.

It’s been quite the opposite so far this season, with Brighton collecting more wins and more points away from the Amex. This could be partly down to a change of manager and settling into a new style of play.

However, the home crowd will be right up for this one, welcoming the team currently top of the Premier League. 

Brighton have already beaten the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea this season, as well as Arsenal in the Carabao Cup just before the World Cup. No one should write them off.

The Belgian often steps up on the big occasions, like in the wins over Chelsea and Manchester United. He has seven goals and two assists from his 16 appearances.

Arsenal have been almost flawless so far this campaign, losing just one of their 15 games so far.

They’ve overcome some tricky challenges, from the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham. Coupled with that has been their style of play, which has been attractive with plenty of goals too.

Gabriel Jesus has played a large role in that success and, although he went 11 games without scoring before picking up an injury, he was so crucial to the way the Gunners played.

Now, with Jesus out for a while, Eddie Nketiah will have a chance to lead the line. He took his goal well against West Ham and has six goals from his eight league starts.

Elsewhere, Emile Smith Rowe and Takehiro Tomiyasu could return to proceedings after injury.

The Norwegian playmaker has been sensational this season, claiming that attacking midfield position for his own. He has six goals and four assists in 20 appearances and is so crucial to the way they play.
