Burnley never really looked in any danger of being relegated this season, despite spending a few weeks in the drop zone earlier in the campaign.

In Sean Dyche, they have a fabulously experienced manager who has now kept them in the Premier League for five seasons and, even though they weren’t at their best this year, have thoroughly deserved it.

They enter this match in good spirits, having beaten (and in doing so relegated) Fulham in their last game. Will their determination still be as strong here now that they know the season is almost over?

Leeds still have the incentive of claiming a top half finish to fight for and currently occupy 10th place over Aston Villa, a point further back.

They too are in decent form, having beaten Tottenham in their last game, and have only suffered one defeat from their last eight in the league.

Burnley FC Preview

Form Guide (all comps): LLWLW

Reasons to be cheerful:

Could win four successive home league games against Leeds

Survival could take the pressure off their shoulders

Reasons to be fearful:

Poor home form, with last eight coming without victory

All of their last four wins have come away from home

Burnley are certainly a team who have missed their home supporters this season, with their form at Turf Moor suffering badly because of their absence.

They are without victory at home in their last eight games – they haven’t gone nine without victory since 1998-99.

Despite this, they’ve shown throughout the season that they are capable of picking up points just as it seems they are destined for a bad run of form. They’ve also enjoyed a good spell against Leeds in the past, winning their last three home games against the side from Yorkshire.

On the injury front, they will have to play without defender Bardsley, while goalkeeper Nick Pope and midfielder Dale Stephens are fitness concerns.

With the pressure of survival now off their shoulders, it could free them up to play positive football.

Star Man – Chris Wood

Burnley’s best player has been directly involved in 11 of their last 14 league goals.

Leeds United Preview

Form Guide (all comps): WDDLW

Reasons to be cheerful:

Last two wins have come over Man City & Spurs

Just one defeat from their last eight

Reasons to be fearful:

Haven’t keep an away clean sheet in last nine

Consistency has been a problem for them all season

Leeds are currently winning their battle to finish inside the top half of the Premier League at the end of the season, though will need to keep up their current form in order to do so.

They are a point ahead of Aston Villa right now, with three games to play. While there is no real prize for finishing in the top ten teams, it would represent a fabulous first season back in the top division for a newly promoted club.

Their form is certainly positive, losing just one of their last eight games which represents their best run of the season. They recently won three on the bounce and have picked up points against City, Spurs and Man United in recent weeks.

Here, the likes of Kalvin Phillips, Raphinha and Rodrigo may all come back into the team after returning to fitness.

Star Man – Raphinha

Returned from injury as a sub against Spurs, Raphinha has been missed while he’s been out injured

Leeds will play to win as usual

Burnley may be more open as a result of claiming survival

     A tight game to call

This one definitely has an end of season feel to it, and is a game that could potentially swing in either direction.

Although Leeds have struggled for winning consistency this season, having the likes of Raphinha back could sway this in their favour, particularly now that Burnley have little left to play for and have a poor home record recently.

Leeds to win 2-1
