Chanmari FC booked their place in the 2025–26 Indian Football League after finishing runners-up in I-League 2, setting up a historic season that will feature two Mizoram clubs in the division and a much-anticipated state derby on March 24.

The newcomers have wasted no time showing ambition. They’ve appointed Victor Lalbiakmawia as head coach and strengthened smartly in the market, headlined by Brazilian forward Joao Vitor De Paula. Add the arrivals of Zothanpuia from Aizawl FC and Christopher Kamei to sharpen midfield creativity, and Chanmari look ready to compete, not just participate.
