England have the perfect opportunity to reach the final of a major competition for the first time since they won the World Cup in 1966.

They have reached the Semis in fantastic form, having not conceded a goal, winning four of their five matches and thrashing Ukraine 4-0 in the Quarter Finals.

Players such as Kane, Sterling, Shaw and Maguire appear to be peaking at just the right time for the Three Lions and will hope to continue their brilliant form into this one. They also have the advantage of playing at home once again.

Denmark’s fans will be largely outnumbered at Wembley, although their players will command a great deal of respect from the English fans for the part they have played in the tournament.

They have been in inspired form to reach this far, showing another impressive display to see off the Czech Republic in the Quarters.

They are underdogs here, but that might just suit them.

England Preview

World Ranking: 4

Best Historical Finish at the Euros: Semi Finals, 1996

Reasons to be cheerful:

Yet to concede a goal so far

Brushed aside their scoring problems by netting six times in two knockout games

Reasons to be fearful:

Have never got further than the Semis

Must not get too far ahead of themselves

England are on the brink of doing what they’ve never achieved before, to reach the Final of the European Championship.

Whereas their opponents have won the tournament before, the closest that England have come is to reach the Semis back in 1996.

By beating Germany and then the Ukraine, England have given themselves a brilliant opportunity to reach the Final, and if they do so they will have played all but one of their games at Wembley in England, cheered on by almost a capacity crowd.

It appears that striker Kane has now hit form, their defence has yet to concede a goal, and there are plenty of options to freshen things up from the bench.

Now they must make sure they don’t get too carried away with themselves.

Star Man – Harry Kane

England fans hoped that once Kane got his first, he’d keep on scoring. Now with three goals in five games, he’s ready to set the tournament alight.

Denmark Preview

World Ranking: 10

Best Historical Finish at the Euros: Winners, 1992

Reasons to be cheerful:

Have the players to cause England problems

Beat England as recently as last year

Reasons to be fearful:

Will be tough playing away at Wembley

England have hit form at the right time

From what started out to be a horror show, these brave Danish players have bounced back and created an exceptional run to the Semi Finals, proving their quality and their togetherness.

Cheered on by stricken teammate Christian Eriksen, and thousands across the world, Denmark have proved to be the ultimate underdogs in reaching the Semis, and will hope that they can outpunch England here.

In Dolberg, they have a striker who is in form and can pose a challenge to England’s solid defensive partnership. Backing him up, there are several quality players, such as Stryger Larsen, Wass and captain Simon Kjaer who have driven this side forward.

Against England, in London, they will not be favourites to quality. But perhaps they can cause another shock at this tournament.

Star Man – Kasper Dolberg

With three goals so far this tournament, he has as many as his opponent striker Harry Kane

England will go into the game as favourites

If they score early, they could win comfortably

Denmark will be happy to sit back and counter quickly

England will be confident coming into this game, especially now that their attack seems to be firing on all cylinders.

With Kane, Sterling, Sako, Grealish, Rashford, Sancho and co., England have several top class players who can score important goals. Denmark will need to be more patient, soak up the English attacks and then break quality.

It should be a game of good quality, and at Wembley, the atmosphere will be fantastic.

England to win 3-1
