Liverpool still leads City by 9, Chelsea and Arsenal by 7. December is a tricky month with fixtures coming in thick and fast.

The manager obviously must’ve used a hard stance approach after a shocking display a couple of days back at Old Trafford. The win against Wolves was Everton’s biggest league victory since 2019 when they beat United. If Calvert-Lewin can get onto a scoring streak, the Toffees can climb the ranks, with only 3 wins separating them and fifth place Brighton.

Derbies are the most difficult matches to predict. These are games where passion dictates performance. Teams may be on a losing streak, but come Derby Day, they’re different beasts. Tired legs will amount to more goals being leaked. Everton got a much-needed victory at home. 

A win against Liverpool could properly kick start their campaign. But Liverpool are a whole different beast in Arne Slot. The team’s calculated and composed method over Klopp’s heavy metal football has proved worthwhile. Mohammad Salah has been in the form of his life, hitting new levels. Reds fans will want that contract offered soon, so as to give the Egyptian more of an uplift. Sean Dyche is known to cause upset to Liverpool.
