Belgium, as expected, have ruled the roost over Group B and currently sit pretty at the top following wins over Russia and Denmark.

As the world number one nation, they are expected to go deep into the tournament, especially with striker Romelu Lukaku firing and Kevin de Bruyne back fit once again.

Should they avoid defeat here, they will top the group and in doing so set up a Round of 16 tie against one of the third place teams who also qualify, meaning a slightly easier route to the Quarter Finals on paper.

Finland officially need a win to automatically secure their progress, but with three points already in the bag, could qualify as one of the four best third place teams.

As this is their first ever major tournament, Finland have already defied expectation by beating Denmark, and could see this as an opportunity to cause Belgium problems if their opponents make a few changes to their starting line-up.

Finland Preview

World Ranking: 54

Best Historical Finish at the Euros: Debut

Predicted Finish This Year: Round of 16

Reasons to be cheerful:

Could still qualify with a win, draw or loss

Belgium could hand them the advantage if they make wholesale changes

Reasons to be fearful:

Only scored one goal so far

Just one win from their last eight matches in all competitions

There is a huge gulf in class between Finland and their opponents here, however there hasn’t been much to choose between them when they’ve previously met on the pitch.

Indeed, Finland actually hold the upper hand, with four wins to Belgium’s three from their 11 meetings to date. They are unbeaten in their last seven meetings.

At this tournament, though, Belgium are looking supremely confident, and it would take a mammoth effort to stop them in their tracks, especially considering that Finland have only scored once so far, and they have just one win from their previous eight games in all competitions.

Can they upset the odds here?

Star Man – Teemu Pukki

Could the Premier League man fire his nation to glory here?

Belgium Preview

World Ranking: 1

Best Historical Finish at the Euros: Runners-up, 1980

Predicted Finish This Year: Semi-Finals

Reasons to be cheerful:

Will top the group with a point

Changes to the team could actually make them stronger

Reasons to be fearful:

Finland have a good record against Belgium

     Recent travels could cause fatigue

Belgium are one of the most travelled teams in the tournament so far, starting their campaign in Saint Petersburg of Russia to play Russia, before making their way over to Copenhagen and facing Denmark, then finally all the way back to Saint Petersburg for the final game against Finland.

Although Belgium have a deep squad, travelling that amount of distance with little rest in between could well have an effect on them.

They will make changes here, of course, although it should actually make them stronger. Injury-hit Eden Hazard should come into the side, midfielder Axel Witsel could start, while de Bruyne is getting better with each game it seems.

They are still heavy favourites here, for sure.

Star Man – Kevin de Bruyne

Scored a goal of undoubted world class to sink Denmark the other day. Only a few players in the world could have scored it.

Belgium will go for the win despite already qualifying

Finland to try and earn a point

     Could be an entertaining game

Finland won’t want their campaign to fizzle out after starting with win, so they’ll be right at it here, pressing Belgium high up the pitch and trying to grab a point at the very least.

However, with the quality than Belgium possess, they could comfortably change half of their team and still run out as winners.

It could be a tight match, for the Belgians are favourites.

Belgium to win 3-1
