What a team Brighton have been this season, propelling themselves into the top three of the Premier League with three wins and a draw from their four games so far.

The win over Manchester United was the pinnacle, although further victories over West Ham and Leeds have cemented the view that they are a side with plenty of quality in all areas.

The Seagulls won’t finish the season as high as they are now, but it’s a testament to the work Graham Potter and his staff have done at the club that they have started so well.

Fulham, for a newly promoted club, have also begun the season relatively well. Considering that last time they won promotion to the Premier League they failed badly, this has been somewhat of a surprise.

Mitrovic finally seems like a proper Premier League goalscorer and the rest of the team looks up to the challenge.

This should be a well-matched game.

Fulham FC Preview

Reasons to be cheerful:

     Mitrovic is in stunning form

Played well as they took the lead against Arsenal

Reasons to be fearful:

Tough run of fixtures coming up

Conceding as many as they score right now

Fulham may consider themselves unlucky to have lost their last game against Arsenal.

Not only did the Cottagers take the lead, but the two goals they conceded were also the result of cruel deflections and penalty area scraps.

In truth, they were unable to secure a real foothold in the game, with Arsenal pressing them back for much of the game. They must also face the fact that they have conceded as many goals, six, as they have scored this season.

However, they have treated their home fans to decent performances in their draw against Liverpool and their victory over Brentford, so more will be expected this time around.

Brighton are always difficult to play against, especially right now, but the home side will have plenty to say themselves.

Star Man – Aleksandar Mitrovic

Having already surpassed his total of three goals from the last time Fulham were in the Premier League, Mitrovic looks set to help Fulham stay up. He just needs to hope his teammates can keep delivering the ball to him.

Brighton & Hove Albion Preview

Reasons to be cheerful

Stunning form has seen them rise to 3rd in the league

Last match set a new club record of nine consecutive games without defeat

Reasons to be fearful

Defenders could struggle to contain Mitrovic

Great form will come to an end at some point

When the going is good, Brighton fans must take advantage.

They’ve never been this high in the Premier League in their history and life is good for a club that is aiming to finish higher than last season’s 9th place.

The Seagulls have goals coming from across the pitch, showing that everyone is playing well right now.

As they demonstrated in the win over Manchester United, they counterattack brilliantly and are difficult to break down at the other end.

If there has been one downside to the team, it’s been the number of chances they’ve missed in front of goal. They could have made life much easier for themselves if they’d taken more of their many chances against Leeds.

They won’t get so lucky forever, and against the in-form Mitrovic, they could be made to pay at the other end.

Star Man – Pascal Gross

A brilliant all-rounder who does so much for the team. He’s in the form of his life right now and has three goals to show for it so far this season.

A game with chances at both ends

A tight game in terms of goals scored

     Possession evenly shared

Although Fulham are certainly not a one-man team, everything they do revolves around creating chances for their big number nine, Mitrovic.

If he is scoring goals, then the whole team is at the top of their game.

On the other hand, Brighton are about the collective. Although Pascal Gross is the top scorer, the way in which they play means that anyone could be at the end of the final pass.

Fulham will feel their home support should count for them here, although Brighton are very difficult to break down.

A draw could be the most likely result

Fulham 1-1 Brighton
