Fulham FC vs Tottenham Hotspur FC Match Prediction & Analysis

Tottenham have bounced back into some good form over the past week or two, winning their Europa League tie emphatically before putting four goals past Burnley in the league last weekend.

Unfortunately, these ups and downs have been a part of Spurs’ season, meaning that they’ve struggled to consistently challenge for a place at the top end of the table.

With 13 games to play, however, a string of good results could propel them up the table at the expense of Chelsea, Liverpool and Everton, who are all in the battle for the European spots. It’ll take some doing, but Mourinho is a results master.

Fulham are locked in a battle of their own in order to remain in the league for another season. Sitting just below Newcastle, a side not in action this week, the Cottagers could overtake them with a win here.

There is plenty at stake for both sides here, and we should hope that they both go for the win.

Fulham’s main problem this season has been converting drawing positions into winning ones, with 10 ties coming from their last 15 matches.

This has stemmed from simply not scoring enough goals, with only eight in their favour at home this season which is the lowest of any side in the league.

While continue to pick up the odd point here and there has helped them stay in contention, they must now press ahead and start to go for three points more often. 

Here, they face no new injury concerns, with the same squad likely to feature as it has done for their five-match unbeaten run up until now.

Is a constant thorn in the opposition’s side. His pace and directness create plenty of chances for his teammates.

     Spurs have won on five consecutive visits to Craven Cottage

Reasons to be fearful:

     Have lost five of their last seven league games

     Failed to win any of their midweek games this season

Jose Mourinho certainly won’t be happy with his side’s return of just four victories from their last 14 games in the league, though miraculously they are not out of the running for a Champions League finish just yet.

Due to the inconsistency of the other teams around them, there remains just six points between Spurs and a top four position, something which a good run of form could eat up in no time.

With Spurs’ next five league games against non-top six opposition, this represents an ideal opportunity to hit back.

Here, they hope Gareth Bale will be fit once again after hitting some real form of late, scoring twice in the win over Burnley at the weekend. The proposition of the Welsh winger, Son and Kane up front together could be too much for this Fulham side.
