Begrudged after their disappointing defeat to a 10-man Jamshedpur FC, Inter Kashi will take on Mumbai on Sunday in Round 5 of the Super League.
Mumbai too come into the game disappointed after being held to a draw by Sporting Delhi. With both sides eager to respond—especially Inter Kashi, who are set for their first home game of the campaign—this promises to be a competitive encounter.
Current Standings: Inter Kashi are placed 7th in the points table with five points, whereas Mumbai City are placed 4th with eight points.
Head-to-head Record: The upcoming fixture will be the first meeting between the teams in a competitive game.
Matchday 4 brought an end to Inter Kashi’s three-game unbeaten run, though many expected a tough outing against Jamshedpur at the ‘Furnace’. However, it turned into a missed opportunity after Jamshedpur were reduced to 10 men in the 18th minute.
Kashi struggled to capitalise, creating few clear chances (xG 0.94) and eventually conceding from a set-piece while finishing with a higher xGA of 1.60 despite the numerical advantage.
Still, five points from their first four away games in their debut season is a respectable return. That said, their first home match on Sunday could now set the tone for how far the Kashi Warriors can go this season.

Habas made just one change to the XI from the Kerala Blasters game, bringing in Prasanth for Narender. However, given his tendency to rotate the lineup in every match so far, a few changes could once again be on the cards for Sunday.
Inter Kashi Probable XI - Tarres (GK); Wayne Vaz, Chandran, Prasanth, Mandi, Sergio Llamas, Rohit Danu, Haobam Tomba Singh, Passi, Nauris Petkevicius, Alfred Palanas.
Much like Inter Kashi, the Islanders too will feel they let a win slip away in the 2–2 draw against Sporting Club Delhi. Mumbai raced to a 2–0 lead inside 17 minutes through Jorge Diaz and PN Noufal, but defensive lapses saw them concede and finish with an xGA of 1.20.
Despite the early goals, they created little (xG 0.46), making it arguably their weakest display of the season. Still, the positive is that they remain unbeaten after four rounds and well placed in the standings.

Kratky made one key change by bringing PN Noufal into the lineup in place of the underperforming Vikram Pratap Singh, and the decision paid off as Noufal made an immediate impact.
Mumbai City FC Probable XI - Phurba Lachenpa (GK); Sahil Panwar, Nuno Reis, Valpuia, Akash Mishra, Joni Kauko, Brandon Fernandes, Bawitlung, Lallianzuala Chhangte, Jorge Pereyra Díaz, PN Noufal.
Inter Kashi may have lost just once in four matches this season, but turning draws into wins remains a concern. The Kashi Warriors have managed only one victory in their last eight games across competitions (D3, L4).
Meanwhile, Mumbai have been strong on the road, winning four of their last seven away matches and already securing an away victory this season. On current form, the Islanders appear slight favourites for this clash.
