Led by Mohamed Salah, who ended his last Premier League campaign with 47 goals and assists and already has two this year in three matches, the team's attack has become even more dangerous with the addition of Hugo Ekitike, a young Frenchman who has already scored twice.

Given that Cody Gakpo will still be in the mix, he's a phenomenal striker of the ball who can create chances with his dribbling skills. In his new role, Ryan Gravenberch has been super electrifying as a passer, already providing two assists next to him. 

Depending on whether Dominik Szoboszlai will be ready for this game, he is a defensive-minded midfielder who has already produced seven tackles and could be replaced by another star in Alexis Mac Allister. With Atlético Madrid already having a tough start to their season, things need to start looking up for them if they want to win this tournament. Having lost two of their three La Liga matches, a lot of their hopes will lie on prized striker Julián Álvarez, as he has only created pressure by scoring once this season. 

Antoine Griezmann is also looking to get back into form and will potentially start this match due to his experience, but he might not last long due to his lack of shot-making. In the middle, Pablo Barrios has been a bright spot with 26 passes up front that could have been potential chances. He has also shown to create pressure with 15 chances ahead. 

Defensively, they have been a little stronger due to Marcos Llorente's experience, with seven tackles in La Liga play, and also seeing how José María Giménez has developed into an athletic force who can move side-to-side.
