Man City were always favourites going into this one as long as Pep was the wheel. But things are currently very different. City have managed only one win in ten games. They’re almost matching the inconsistency and chaos from the other end of Manchester. City look like Liverpool during the pandemic when the club faced dire injury issues and had to play their holding midfielders in the centre back position. 

It almost looks as if any team will score against City once they launch an attack. Hojlund, Rashford and Zirkee will take note, so will Amad Diallo who looks a fine young player. But United have worries of their own. Beating Viktoria Plzen was incredibly important to go into this derby. This genuinely could be anyone’s game.
