Indian Navy FT's hopes of reaching a second successive Durand Cup quarterfinal suffered an early blow with a 1-0 defeat to FC Raengdai. Like Neroca FC, they now have little margin for error and must win their remaining two group matches to keep their qualification hopes alive.

The scoreline may have been narrow, but the Navy side was fortunate not to concede more after struggling to deal with aerial deliveries and long balls. Going forward, however, there were encouraging signs, as they registered 15 shots, five of them on target, only to be let down by poor finishing.
