Breel Embolo opened the scoring in the 10th minute after a brilliant solo run by Manzambi, before Dan Ndoye doubled the lead just seconds into the second half. Ndoye's strike, timed at 45:46, was the fastest second-half goal at a World Cup since Davor Šuker's effort for Croatia in 1998.

The Swiss executed their game plan to perfection, conceding possession but remaining defensively solid. Despite seeing just 41% of the ball, they produced an xG of 1.36 from four shots, while limiting Algeria to no shots on target and an xGA of just 0.52. It was Switzerland's first clean sheet of the tournament, and they have still not conceded more than once in any match.

Breel Embolo and Johan Manzambi have been the driving forces behind Switzerland's impressive run. The decisive moment came in the 14th minute when substitute Luis Suárez, introduced early after Jhon Córdoba's injury, delivered a pinpoint cross for Jhon Arias to score the second-fastest World Cup goal in Colombia's history.

From there, Colombia dictated the tempo but were repeatedly denied by Lawrence Ati Zigi, who produced seven saves to keep Ghana in the contest. At the other end, Néstor Lorenzo's side were rock solid, allowing Ghana no shots on target and just 0.27 xG. 

That clean sheet was Colombia's third in a row, meaning they have conceded only once in four matches while posting an impressive xGA of just 2.72. 

Against Switzerland, maintaining that defensive discipline and limiting Johan Manzambi's influence will once again be crucial.
