The game sees two sides clash with one showing the other how it should be done at this level.

Not so long ago, Wolves were struggling inside the bottom three, unable to score goals with any consistency and struggling to pick up points.

In comes Julen Lopetegui as manager, an experienced coach from Spain, who has transformed their season it would appear. They now have three wins from their past four and are finally looking upwards.

On the other hand, Bournemouth appear to be going nowhere. Rooted in the bottom three, they don’t appear to have the quality or the confidence to improve upon their current position.

Gary O’Neil may well go on to have a success career in management, but the Bournemouth job seems to big for him right now.

Wolverhampton Wanderers FC Preview

Reasons to be cheerful:

Unbeaten in five Premier League games against Bournemouth

Could equal a club record of three Premier League victories in a row

Reasons to be fearful:

Still aren’t scoring enough goals in the league

Will miss Mario Lemina and perhaps Daniel Podence here

Wolves are showing exactly why it’s so important to have an experienced manager at the helm when facing a relegation battle.

Julen Lopetegui has taken charge of the likes of Spain and Real Madrid in the past so you would assume that he has the qualities to manage a team in the Premier League.

Not only have their results improved in recent weeks, they have even started to score a few more goals. Their 3-0 win over Liverpool demonstrated that, although they could do with netting one or two more.

That said, they have scored five goals in their last two games, although they have massive games against Fulham, Liverpool, Tottenham and Newcastle coming up.

A win here could take them as high as 12th.

Star Man – Joao Gomes

The 22-year-old Gomes has looked good since his signing in the January transfer window. His goal against Southampton secured a vital comeback win for Wolves last weekend.

AFC Bournemouth Preview

Reasons to be cheerful

Have played better recently despite negative results

Senesi should be fit to play in defence

Reasons to be fearful

Five wins from their last seven league games

Just two points gained since the World Cup

Statistically, Bournemouth have the worst record of any Premier League team over the past seven games.

A run of five defeats and two draws has seen the Cherries cement themselves in the bottom three, with a return to midtable looking as unrealistic as ever.

Their downturn, unfortunately, started as soon as Gary O’Neil was handed the manager’s position on a permanent basis. O’Neil certainly doesn’t have any experience of this situation.

Despite, their poor position, they have played better in recent weeks, claiming two hard-earned draws against Nottingham Forest and Newcastle.

It won’t help their league position, but it could boost their confidence coming into this crunch game.

Star Man – Antoine Semenyo

New signing Semenyo has hit the ground running at Bournemouth and was their best player in the last game despite coming on only in the 79th minute.

Wolves are fantastic are keeping the ball at home

Expect their confidence to translate to goals

Bournemouth must be tighter at the back

Wolves are on a great run right now and you would put it past them ending the season nearer the top of the league than the bottom.

Their new manager has breathed life into their team, something that Bournemouth badly need.

Wolves still don’t score enough goals but they still should have enough for their opponents here.
