The Bengaluru Bulls finally won their first match of the season on home turf as they beat a strong UP Yodha. Finally their fans had something to cheer about after the Bulls lost 4 consecutive games. They beat a strong UP Yodha side in their last match to set up a clash with the defending champions, Jaipur Pink Panthers. It was an epic clash as Bengaluru raiders Vikash Kandola and Bharat both scored a Super 10.

Jaipur Pink Panthers went all guns blazing against the Gujarat Giants. They won the match by a margin of 3 points. MVP of season 9 Arjun Deshwal earned handsomely while Bhavani Rajput executed some critical raids in the second half to set up the match for his team.

The Bulls signed up Vikash Kandola for a hefty amount during the auctions and finally he delivered. Vikash got back his rhythm as he scored a Super 10. 

Bengaluru Bulls were desperate for a victory as they had lost their first 4 matches of the season. They were under tremendous pressure as they could not brew the right combination. Fortunately, the Bulls had the vociferous support of their fans at home which helped them take the lead by halftime. Captain Saruabh Nandal was back to precise hunting ways as he scored 4 tackle points.

It was not an easy task for the Bulls as their opponents kept up the pressure. It was only due to the 22 raid points earned by Vikash and Bharat that Bengaluru could taste success. Their desperation was evident in every raid and tackle. Their defenders were able to keep Pardeep Narwal off the mat for almost 30 minutes in the match which proved to be their best move. 

But the Bengaluru Bulls have a lot of backlog that needs to be cleared. By losing their first 4 matches, the Bulls cannot afford any further blemish. They will hope to continue this winning run so that they can remain in the top 4 in the points table consistently. The introduction of raider Monu as their third raider helped the Bulls. Even though Vikash and Bharat were on the roll, they needed that extra raiding cushion. Left corner Aman and right cover Surjit Singh complemented each other to help their team stay ahead through the match.

The Bulls will be up against arch-rivals Jaipur Pink Panthers who have troubled them time and again. Bengaluru has won 8 out of their 18 encounters. Jaipur beat them twice last season which also included a defeat in the semi-finals. With the Benglauru Bulls playing in front of their fans, this will their chance to get even with the defending champions.

The defending champions have tasted all possible results in season 10. They lost their first match to the Puneri Paltan, Tied the next game with the Bengal Warriors and finally achieved victory against the Gujarat Giants. MVP of season 9 Arjun Deshwal has been performing effortlessly as he has 38 raid points from 26 successful raids which include 2 Super 10’s. 

Though the Pink Panthers are heavily dependent on Arjun Deshwal for raid points, he has got the support from Bhavani Rajput and veteran Ajith. Bhavani scored 6 raid points in the last match but these were crucial points he looted in the second half. This left the Gujarat Giants in splits as the Pink Panthers took the lead and finally won the match. 

Arjun Deshwal scored 15 points and his aggression was evident. He made sure that Gujarat captain Fazel Attrachali could not trap him through the match. Captain Sunil Kumar was at his peak scoring a Hi 5. Left corner Ankush disappointed as he could not open his account but veteran defender Sahul Kumar hunted precisely to score 4 tackle points.

Though the defending champions finally tasted success, it was not an easy outing for them. They trailed through the first 25 minutes of the match only to set the cat among the Gujarat Giants with a breakthrough raid from Bhavani Rajput. This shows that the Pink Panthers need to improve their tackling efficiency. 

Left cover KS Abhishek and Iranian defender Reza Mirbagheri looked sloppy but their performance was compensated by Sunil Kumar and Sahul Kumar. This is one of the most important areas that the Pink Panthers need to improve. Against stronger opponents such fragile defense may cause breakdowns.

Expect fireworks this winter at the Sree Kanteerva Indoor Stadium as the home team takes on the defending champions. Raider Vikash Kandola and Bharat Hooda are in ominous form as one of them will score a Super 10. Corners Saurabh Nandal and Aman will target Arjun Deshwal or Bhavani Rajput in particular. The Bulls will try to keep Arjun off the mat for long periods. But defenders Surjit and Vishal may commit unforced errors. The Bulls may leak points in the first half.
