After losing the first game to U Mumba, Bengaluru Bulls have not looked back,
Pawan Sehrawat has hit peak form and doesn't look like he is going to stop anytime soon. Scoring 22 of the Bulls' 42 points vs Haryana Steelers. Not only contributing with his raiding skills, Pawan also made a super tackle and scored 3 tackle points.
UP Yodha looked like they would beat the Dabang delhi team but lost steam by the end of the end half only to lose the match. Pardeep Narwal and Surender Gill combined well to earn raid points but the Delhi defence made sure that Pardeep was kept quite. Also they could not derail Naveen Express who ended scoring 1 points.
The biggest issue for the Yodha is that the opposition is keeping Pardeep off the mat for half the duration of the match and this has hurt them badly.
For the Bulls their defenders Mahendra and Sourabh Nandal look in form to handle the Pardeep Narwal onslaught. This will be a tough game for the UP Yodha.
The Bulls were top of the charts a match back, but now they find themselves at the 3rd spot in 7 matches having earned 28 points.
They have lost a solitary match, have won 5 games and tied 1. Hi Flyer Pawan Sehrawat looks good and even if he has an off day, the others chip in nicely. Chandran Ranjit has supported Pawan well in raiding, scoring 27 points in the first 4 games.
Pawan has 90 raid points from 74 successful raids, including 5 super 10's.
Bulls have 70 successful team tackles earning 77 tackle points.
They have executed 7 Super Tackles.
They have earned the highest team points-231.
In the last few matches, the Bulls have increased their intensity as they have found the high speed lanes on the mat. They beat Jaipur Pink Panthers convincingly in the last match and the Puneri Paltan before that. Both were high scoring games. This scoring rate helps them keep the pressure on the opposition. They should have a good outing against the UP Yodha's.
The Yodha's have had a torrid time in the last few matches. They drew with Mumba, lost to the Thaliavas and then lost to the Dabang's. They seem to be missing the X factor. They should have won against Mumba and they were leading for 75% of the match against Dabang Delhi. But with Pardeep Narwal kept out of the mat for long, they lost steam in these matches to gift them away.
Surender Gill has emerged as a reliable raider but you need the support of other raiders too. Pardeep Narwal looks predictable as the opposition has been toying with him.
He is 7th in the list of top raiders this season with just 53 points in 7 matches.
Surender Gill has earned 50 raid points in 7 games.
They have put in the highest number of team raids- 296, but their efficiency is very low.
Fortunately they have the highest team successful tackles-72 which included 10 Super Tackles.
They are in the 10th spot in the points table with just 15 points. They have got 1 victory to their name along with 2 matches tied. Their defence can be their saviour against the Bulls. Left cover Shubham Kumar and defender Ashu Singh, Sumit and captain Nitesh will have to put in lot of efforts to control the game and not give easy points to Pawan Sehrawat. This is the match where they will have to seek redemption else it will be too late for them in this season.
This looks like an easy outing for the Bulls as they take on the hapless Yodha's. Bengaluru have found a template which suits them and has given them good results. Pawan is out of touch in the odd match but otherwise he has reaped a harvest. The defence looks good to capture any incoming raider.
UP Yodha will have to find a way to live without Pardeep and Pardeep will have to innovate his game and deceive the opposition regularly else it will be too late. He has to realize that form is temporary and class is permanent. UP Yodha will have to outrun the Bulls in order to recharge themselves in the Bull ring.
Bulls will beat the UP Yodha's.
