Dabang Delhi have already qualified for the next round. With 12 victories from 21 matches, Delhi made sure that they remain in the top 3. The most significant achievement for Dabang Delhi was that they were able to the loss of Naveen Kumar due to injury. Normally one would have expected them to disintegrate, but their young players maintained the quality and consistency to achieve qualification for the eliminators. On the other hand Bengaluru Bulls could not garner enough momentum this season. Their rigidity and resistance to change in strategy hurt them badly as they kept on losing matches. Bengaluru was never able to break in the top 5 in the points table.

Dabang Delhi almost lost their last match to the Tamil Thalaiva. This was a high scoring match which witnessed 88 team points being scored. Dabang Delhi have performed very well for the past 3 seasons. They were runners-up in season 7 in 2019, lifted the trophy in season 8 in 2021 and reached the eliminator last year. They were troubled due to the freak injury to star Naveen Kumar, but they continued performing well. But Delhi had an un-auspicious start to their campaign this year. They ran into the Tamil Thalaiva who thrashed them by 9 points. Defenders Vishal Bharadwaj, Meetu Sharma, Yogesh and Himmat Antil could not complement each other. Right cover Mohit too was out of form. Dabang Delhi tried too many combinations in their defense which resulted in a false start. They went through a similar experience as Naveen Kumar was seriously injured mid-season. But young captain Ashu Malik took the responsibility as the young Delhi squad secured the berth for the next round. Ashu Malik has scored 240 raid points in 204 successful raids and has the best strike rate in the season. 

Dabang Delhi had a scare in the last match as they took on the Tamil Thalaiva. Though Delhi has already qualified for the next round, they could not afford a break in momentum. The Delhi defense was exploited by the Tamil raiders. Fortunately, Captain Ashu Malik scored 18 points to compensate for the defensive lapses. The Tamil Thalaiava defense too broke down which helped Dabang to win the match by just 2 points. 

Dabang Delhi is coached by the experienced Ram Singh Khokar who will come up with new defensive combinations to support Ashu Malik. Dabang went on to lose the eliminator of season 9 to the Bulls. But Delhi got their revenge when they defeated the Bulls by 7 points in their first encounter of this season. As they enter the arena for the last time in the league stage, Dabang Delhi will be looking forward for another quick victory. Even if they have a bad day at the office, they would prefer it in this match rather than the eliminators.

Bengaluru Bulls Preview

Season 10 is over for the Bengaluru Bulls as they could not secure enough points to qualify for the next round. With just 7 victories out of 20 matches, they could not gather enough to stake claim for the eliminators. The major reason for such a dip in their performance was the lack of proactive tactics in the initial part of the season. Bengaluru Bulls were too slow to realize that they did not have a decent combination in their first 10 matches. Their defensive lapses and raiding inefficiency cost them. By the time they realized, it was too late. The Bulls did come back in the later part of the season but it was too late for them as they had lost all the momentum. Defenders Sourabh Nandal, Surjeet and Ran Singh executed some sensational tackles but they lacked consistency. They bought raider Vikash Kandola at the recently held auctions for a handsome amount. But he could not perform as per expectations. Raider Bharat Hooda and Neeraj Narwal played well but the Bulls could not maximize their raid earnings. 

Their success rate in team raids is just 31%. They have also conceded 716 team points in 20 matches apart from 29 all-outs.

This was evident in their last match against the Gujarat Giants. Their defense was fragile and their raiding was ineffective. Right cover Rakshit was their lone warriors with 6 tackle points. With just 7 tackle points in the entire match and 4 all-outs conceded in 40 minutes, Bengaluru lost the match by 22 points.

The Bengaluru Bulls had another issue, their defense faltered at crucial moments and could not resonate. Aman who plays in the left corner position could not combine quite effectively with right cover Surjit. Defender Saurabh Nandal was out of sorts as he could not even open his account. Saurabh played a decisive role for the Bulls last year. 

Bengaluru used the services of left cover Prateek who did well in the limited opportunities he got. Though Dabang has troubled the Bulls over the years, Bengaluru beat them thrice last year which included the eliminator. Bengaluru have won 9 out of their 2 encounters while 2 matches ended as a TIE. The Bulls need to pull up their socks and perform for their fans as they take on Dabang Delhi.

Dabang Delhi has qualified for the next round and hence they might include some new players in their starting 7. Captain Ashu Malik is in red hot form as he will exploit the fragile Bengaluru defense to score a huge Super 10. Players like Akash Prasher, left corner Vijay and right corner Sunil might get some match time. Defender Vikrant will hunt precisely as he will trouble the Bengaluru support raiders. Defenders Yogesh and Ashish will continue their good run in the season.

The Bulls will try out a lot of new players. But their raiders will not be able to earn sufficiently. They will concede at least 3 all-outs in the match. Defenders Ran Singh and Akshit will impress with their tackles but overall the Bengaluru defense will leak points due to unforced errors. The Bulls might be aggressive in the first half, but they will lose intensity in the last 20 minutes. This will be an entertaining match for the fans of both teams.
