Dabang Delhi is placed 3rd in the points table after playing 17 matches. But they suffered a loss at the hands of the Bengal Warriors in their last match. The Warriors were struggling since last week and it was expected that Dabang will have a cakewalk. But lack of earnings from support raiders proved costly for Delhi. Captain Ashu Malik did score 17 points but could not take his team past the finish line. On the other hand, the Telegu Titans continued their dismal form as they got hammered by the Puneri Paltan. Telegu lost the match by a margin of 31 points as the Paltan ransacked the Titans. 

Dabang Delhi have a wonderful opportunity to recover from the losses incurred in their last match. They still need to improve the performance of their support raiders. Later Naveen Kumar was injured which stalled their progress. But young captain Ashu Malik has stepped in his shoes and Dabang Delhi are back to winning warys. Unfortunately, they had a timely wake-up call against the Bengal Warriors in their last match. Dabang lost the match by a margin of 7 points. This was a high scoring game which witness 3 Super 10’s. The Dabang defense was decent while captain Ashu Malik looted 17 raid points. But he could not get enough support from the other raiders. That was the difference between the two teams. This loss will not hamper their chances of going into the next round, but they can consider it as a blessing in disguise. Dabang Delhi will sincere hope that by the time they reach the play-off, Naveen Kumar is fit enough to join the team.

Off-late the Delhi defense has been quite strong. The return of veteran Vishal Bharadwaj has given them some relief. Delhi has managed to put up a good show with young inexperienced defenders. The Telegu Titans are like that prodigy who never took off. Seems like the winds of season 9 continue to blow for the Titans in this season too. They could win just 2 matches last year and the trend continues. Though the results may show a one-sided picture, Telegu Titans have played well in most of their games. Unfortunately, they have not been able to deliver the killer punch.

The Titans have conceded 746 team points in the season. This is 96 points more than the Bengal Warriors who are second in the list. 

Telegu Titans have conceded 41 all-outs which is 13 more than the next in the list. 

Their raiding efficiency is just 30%. Hence nothing has gone right for the Titans. They got smashed by the Puneri Paltan in their last outing. The Paltan hammered 60 team points in the match. The only knights in the shining armour were all-rounder Sanjeevi who earned 8 points while Iranian defender Milad Jabbari scored a Hi 5. Else it was a total disaster for the Titans. Telegu Titans have used raiders Robin Chaudhary and Praful Jaware as the backup for Pawan Sehrawat. But if in case Pawan fails, one of the youngsters has to take over the responsibility. But that has not happened. Veteran defenders like Parvesh Bhaiswal and Shankar Gadai have not been able to recreate the magic. They have been used off-late as the Titans have run out of options.

Telegu Titans will be up against former champions Dabang Delhi. The major concern for the Telegu Titans in their lack of belief. They are missing on the “X” factor who could take them past the finish line. Whenever their raiders have done well, the defense has collapsed and vice versa. 

The Titans have a better record against Dabang Delhi as they have won 8 out of their 17 encounters. But these results came very early in the PKL. The Titans have not beaten Delhi since season 5. With an extensive and loyal fan base, the Telegu Titans need to start winning by hook or crook.

Back to back matches for Dabang Delhi could prove a bit heavy. But they will have a decent outing against the Telegu Titans. Captain Ashu Malik will score another Super 10 as he will ransack the Teleug defense. The support raiders will be a concern for Dabang. Defenders Yogesh and Vikrant will support left corner Vishal Bharadwaj. Delhi will inflict an all-out very early in the match. But they may not be able to rein in young Telegu defender Milad Jabbari.

The first half will be quick and full of aggressive moves. The second half will involve a lot of unforced errors from the Titans. Pawan Sehrawat may not be able to score a super 10. But the Telegu defense will put in their heart and soul in the match. They will trouble the Delhi support raiders. All-rounder S Sanjeevi will be effective only if he is on the mat through the match. This will be a wonderful opportunity for Dabang Delhi to win the match by a huge margin on their home turf.
