Dabang Delhi has got back their biggest weapon in their arsenal- Naveen Express, while the UP Yodha are grappling with a sudden dip in form. Dabang Delhi was severely handicapped as Naveen Express was derailed. They took some time to recover from this shock and are back on track. Naveen scored a Super 10 in their TIE against the Bulls. It clearly indicates that Dabang is back on track with Naveen hunting with ease and their defense preying on the opposition raiders with spicy tackles.  Dabang’s played the 50th match of the season and they get ready to play the 100th one too.

The UP Yodha were at their prime mid-season but they seem to have lost their way around the business end of the tournament. They lost 4 consecutive games and struggled to beat the Telegu Titans in their last match. The major breakdown was in their defense which looks fatigued. They will be up against the best team on the circuit and it will be a test of their temperament. 

This match looks like one way traffic where the Dabang Delhi team has all the advantage. If UP Yodha can exploit this chink in the armour, we have match on our hand.

Dabang Delhi K.C. Preview

Dabang Delhi is chasing an unfulfilled dream. They were in ominous form last season but could not etch their name on the trophy. They lost to the Bengal Warriors last time in the finals. This season has been déjà vu for them as they have played with grit, strategy and hostility. They lost their way midway through the season when Naveen Kumar and Joginder Narwal were injured. They also had to suffer a humiliating defeat to the Bulls. But after an overhaul at the workshop, Naveen Express is back on track and the Dabang dug-out is elated and ready to derail their opponents. 

Sitting comfortably on top with 57 points, Dabang has won 9 out of their 17 games. They lost to the Jaipur Pink Panthers and Puneri Paltan in earlier games, but they have recovered well to earn a few victories post these games.

In the absence of Naveen, all-rounder Vijay has given yeoman’s service to Dabang. He along with “Hulk” Sandeep Narwal carried on with the raiding duties effectively. Now with Naveen back in the scheme of things, both these players and contribute in assists and tackles. 

Dabang’s have earned 361 raid points in 17 games while conceding 561 points. They have inflicted 18 all-outs but have conceded 21 which is concerning. Their defence is impressive with the likes of Jeeva, Manjit, Joginder and Sandeep Narwal with the garnishing of Krishnan Dhull. They will need to just follow the basics and not take unnecessary risks.

They are up against UP Yodha who are not in the best of form. Dabang will look to win this match with a big margin.

U.P. Yoddha Preview

Currently placed 6th in the points table, the UP Yodha are in a precarious situation at this stage of the tournament. They started off slowly only to gain momentum mid tournament. But they seem to be suffering from a mid-life crisis as they have lost their way completely in the last few games. They lost 4 games on the trot only to beat the Telegu Titans in their last game. The Yodha will consider themselves very lucky to have beaten the Titans. 

The Yodha were trailing for most of the match only to comeback in the last 5 minutes of the game with a massive all-out. This desperation and luck will not work against stronger teams like Dabang Delhi. 

Pardeep Narwal has settled in the role of a side-kick to raider Surender Gill who has bulldozed the opposition into submission. He has earned 143 raid points from 16 games. His specialty is to drag 2-3 defenders and cross the mid-line with ease. Hence he has been able to execute Super Raids consistently. 

UP Yodha has executed 262 successful raids out of their 677 team raids which is impressive. But they have been able to conduct just 150 successful team tackles in 17 games. The breakdown of their defense is the primary reason for their slide down in the points table. 

Though defender Nitesh Kumar and Sumit were high effective initially, they seem to have fatigued and lost their sharpness. The Yodha has conceded 16 all-outs and they are always fighting to avoid all-outs due to lesser players on the mat. The only way to resurrect is to reboot their defense and hunt in a pack.

Winning Prediction

Welcome to the face-off between Naveen Express and Surender Gill. Playing 2 games in 2 days will not be easy on the Yodha’s. They have faltered more often in the last few games and they cannot afford any further breakdowns in the remaining games. It is beyond logic that they have not been able to dominate even when they have one of the best raiding trio of Surender Gill, Pardeep Narwal and Shrikant Jadhav. They were slow to take off in their last game against the Telegu Titans. 

The Dabang’s will be relieved to have Naveen Express back on track. He looked like his old self against the Bulls. The Dabang defense has also resonated with 11 tackle points in their last game. They will look to exploit the scratchy defense of the Yodha by letting Naveen creating a stampede. The Dabang’s can falter only if their defense has a bad day at the office. This looks unlikely as the UP Yodha look fatigued and slow in their reflexes.

Dabang Delhi will win.
