The Gujarat Giants has emerged as the best team in the first week as they have won all their 3 matches. They have systematically decimated their opponents. They beat Telegu Titans in their inaugural bout followed by a close win over the Bengaluru Bulls. They had to fight hard against U Mumba. They would have settled for a TIE, but U Mumba made some silly errors in the last minute of the match which allowed the Giants to steal the show.

Their biggest asset is captain Fazel Attrachali who makes his presence felt in that left corner position. His experience and shrewd thinking brews the best out of his young raiders. Interestingly Attrachali has a deadly strike rate in the 20mins post half-time. This aggression helps the Giants change the course of play. Even against U Mumba, Gujarat were trailing at half-time.

Just into the second half, Attrachali made some daring tackle executing an all-out which stunned U Mumba. They could not recover in time to save the match. Gujarat Giants have also found a diamond in the form of raider Sonu. He is the highest scorer in the season with 32 raid points from 22 successful raids. Sonu has scored a Super 10 in all the 3 matches. Fazel Attrachali also leads the list of top defenders.

Apart from these two, raider Rakesh and all-rounder Rohit Gulia have been phenomenal. Both have contributed handsomely thus making the Giants an unbeatable unit. 3 time champions, Patna Pirates made a grand entry to season 10, as they thrashed Telegu Titans by 22 points. The Pirates went crazy as they stole points, inflicted all-outs and tackled with ease. They were leading by 12 points at half-time with their star raider Sachin Tanwar stealing points at will. Manjeet and Sandeep Kumar added another 12 raid points to the tally.

But it was their defense which hunted in style. Captain Neeraj Kumar was aggressive with his blocks while all-rounder Ankit and Sajin Chanrashekhar precisely targeted the Telegu raiders. They did not allow the raiders to settle at all which put a lot of pressure on Pawan Sehrawat. This will be their strategy against the Gujarat Giants. The Patna defense earned 16 tackle points in the match which was very impressive. 

The Pirates seem to be hungry for more. They have a fantastic combination of raiders and defenders who have settled very quickly. The Pirates will look forward to compensate for an average season 9 where they finished 11th in the points table. They lost their trump card left corner Mohammedreza in the auctions to the Puneri Paltan. 

Hence they have utilized several all-rounders in various positions. This strategy has worked for them. They have used the services of Ankit and Sajin in different positions. They have to be careful of Fazel Attrachali as he may derail their best laid plans. Raider Sachin is in good form as he scored a Super 10 in his first outing. The raiding combination of Sachin and Manjeet has been effective. But if anyone of them fails, the Pirates will need their backup raiders to perform. One can expect fireworks on the mat as two good teams clash at the Arena. Both teams play some aggressive kabaddi and they have inform exciting players. Sachin Tanwar and Manjeet will earn over 20 raid points between them. Captain Neeraj Kumar and Ankit will attack Gujarat raider Sonu so as to reduce his scoring. 

But Fazel Attrachali will slow down the game through the first half and then suddenly increase the intensity post half-time. He will go after Sachin Tanwar and this will be one of the most entertaining duels. Gujarat Giants will expect Sombir and Nabibaksh to hunt precisely. If raider Sonu is kept off the mat, Rakesh will take over as the main raider. 

Patna Pirates will target the second and third raider of Gujarat Giants to reduce their earnings. The second half will be much more exciting as both teams will attack relentlessly. The team with the least unforced errors will win. Or maybe as both teams are evenly matched, they may share the honors too.
