Gujarat Fortune Giants carved a niche for themselves the moment they arrived on the scene. With unconventional plans and proactive execution, they were able to trouble a lot of teams. Their rivalry with U Mumba is legendary as was they're regulating the pace of the game. This season they have roped in veteran coach Ram Mehar Singh who might just bring about a differently flavored Fortune Giants.

The core players remain the same with raiders like Chandran Ranjit, Mahendra Rajput, Rakesh, and Pradeep Kumar at the helm of affairs. The defense will be taken care of by Rinky Narwal, Sandeep Kandola, Baldev, and Saurav Gulia.

Last season was one of the most disappointing for the Fortune Giants. Though they finished 4th after 22 games, they looked like a shadow of themselves. Too many unforced errors, defensive lapses, etc cost them many matches due to which they were languishing in the bottom half for most of the season. A late surge as well as erratic performances from other teams helped them move up the ladder.

This time the Fortune Giants will look towards a different approach under new coach Ram Mehar Singh. Raiders Rakesh and Chandran Ranjit have been consistent for any team they have played for. Raider Pardeep was mighty effective with his raw power while Mahendra Rajput can deliver Super raids at will. It will be their defense that will be tested by someone like Pawan Sehrawat. But Gujarat Fortune Giants would like to start on a winning note.

Tamil Thalaivas Preview

Thalaiva was known as the “Tie” specialist in season 8, as every time they looked set to win a match, it would end in a tie. Their team was introduced in 2017 but they have never finished in the first half of the points table. They have had some legendary players but the team could never take off. They tried Ajay Thakur, Manjeet Singh, Jasvir Singh, Surjeet, and many other top players. But the Thalaiva always remained an underachiever.

Hence Tamil Thalaiva bought superstar Pawan Sehrawat in the auctions to rewrite history and fulfill the dreams of their fans. Pawan was the highest scorer last season for the Bulls with 304 raid points which included 18 Super 10’s. 

Tamil Thalaiva retained their best defender Sagar who was instrumental in saving many matches for the Thalaiva. They have also retained raider Ajinkya Pawar along with right cover Abhishek. Tamil Thalaiva has invested in a lot of youngsters whom they scouted during the National Championship a few months back.

With Pawan leading the attack, Thalaiva will hope that youngsters like Ajinkya Pawar, Himanshu, Jatin, and Narender support him while young defenders like Sahil Gulia, Mohit, and Arpit Saroha help Sagar maintain a good tackle rate.

Tamil Thalaiva has a low successful raid efficiency in the last season while they also conceded the highest all-outs. They will hope to reverse this trend with some healthy earnings from Pawan Sehrawat.

This will be one of the most entertaining matches of the new season as we will witness new styles of play from both teams. Tamil Thalaiva will be led by Pawan who is known to destroy the opposition's defense at will.

Simultaneously Gujarat Fortune Giants will have to settle into a new plan of action as per their new coach Ram Mehar Singh. Chandran Ranjit, Rakesh, and Mahendra Rajput will have to work in tandem to score raid points.
