A contest between two highly talented teams is always a mouth-watering contest. Both teams have their unique style as they keep their opponents on tenterhooks with their surprise moves.

Gujarat Fortune Giants have won 2 out of their 5 games and had to settle for a Tie against the Tamil Thalaiva. They are a well-knit unit of young players but lack the X factor as it affects their chances in certain games. Similarly, the Haryana Steelers have a young team that lacks the killer punch. They lost to the defending champions by a margin of 2 points while U Mumba hoodwinked them by a point. Haryana Steelers should have won both games or at least forced a TIE.

Both teams are experts in regulating the pace of the game. That is the reason both teams have played high-scoring games while winning low-scoring games too. Hence both teams are evenly matched. The ideal result should be a TIE but you never know what happens on the mat on that day.

Haryana Steelers Preview

Semi-finalists of season 8 find themselves stranded at the 9th spot in the points table after 5 games. This is unknown territory for the Steelers as they play an aggressive brand of kabaddi. They missed out on a couple of opportunities in their last games.

Young raiders Manjeet and Meetu Sharma have been effective with 68 points together in 5 games, but both do not feature in the top 10 raiders. Haryana is missing a raider like Vikash Kandola who can loot points at will. This puts a lot of pressure on their defense. Though Manjeet and Meetu look good, they do not have much support. If they fail, the Steelers have to depend on all-rounder Nitin Rawal or raiders Vinay and Sushil. That is precisely why the Haryana Steelers could not force things on their opponents.

Their defense has been consistent with Jaideep Dahiya performing exceedingly well. Jaideep and right cover Mohit Nandal have executed 23 successful tackles. This will be compounded with a good raiding income. Hence the Steelers roll back to slowing down the game and relying on empty raids resulting in Do or Die situations.

Haryana Steelers do not enjoy a great record against the Fortune Giants. The steelers have 3 out of their 10 games. Both teams settled for a TIE once in season 5 in 2017. But post that they have beaten the Gujarat Fortune Giants 5 times in 7 games.

Their coach is the legendary Manpreet Singh who will be getting his boys ready to play against the Fortune Giants whom he has groomed since the beginning. Hence Manpreet knows their tactics and this might just help the Steelers to pull off a victory.

Gujarat Giants Preview

Gujarat Fortune Giants will be facing a team that is now coached by their former coach, Manpreet Singh. Both teams use similar tactics as both teams are in the middle of the points table. For a change, Fortune Giants played a high-scoring game against the UP Yodha which they won by a margin of 6 points.

But they have also lost to the Jaipur Pink Panthers in a low-scoring game where the match produced just 43 points in all. Gujarat Fortune Giants have always depended on team effort rather than individual brilliance. Captain Chandran Ranjit and Rakesh scored heavily against the UP Yodha. Both earned 36 raid points collectively. Such was their terror and fluidity on the mat that the Yodha defense crumbled on every raid.

Raider Prateek Dahiya is another revelation of this season as is the one who has staked his claim to become the new “Dubki King”. He has executed this move with finesse just like Superstar Pardeep Narwal. Defender Arkam Shaikh has also been in top form as he has been aggressive and intimidating. Defenders Saurav Gulai and Shankar Gadai make up the rest of the defense and the Fortune Giants have picked up momentum after 5 games. They are placed 7th in the points table as they need to improve their consistency.

They have a brilliant record against the Haryana Steelers but records are just for previews and predictions. Off late, they have not been able to dominate the Steelers. The best part for the Fortune Giants is the way they effortlessly replace their raiders. Chandran Ranjit and Rakesh are their first options, but Prateek and Mahendra Rajput provide a contrast.

As a team, they have conceded 191 points in 5 games. They have inflicted 7 all-outs while conceding just 6.

This will be a memorable game as both teams have the firepower. This game is an ideal way to start your Diwali celebrations as raids will be explosive and tackles will be colorful.

Gujarat Fortune Giants are flexible with their approach and they will use a lot of raiders throughout the game. Arkam Shaikh may not earn too many points but he will assist in successful tackles. Left corner Sandeep Kandola will aim for raider Manjeet and render him useless.

Raider Meetu Sharma will have to take responsibility for earning raid points for the Steelers. Jaideep Dahiya has a few tricks up his sleeve to trap Gujarat raiders Rakesh and Chandran. The only issue for the Steelers is the form of aging captain Joginder Narwal who mans the left corner. Coach Manpreet will also use raiders Prapanjan and Sushil to slow down things and give his former team a taste of their own medicine.

But this is a perfect recipe for a TIE!!!!!

This will be a TIE
