It is time to celebrate for the Haryana Steelers are they have qualified for the eliminators. Haryana defeated the Patna Pirates in a tough match to secure the final spot in the next round. Haryana Steelers had a clear plan against the Pirates as coach Manpreet did not want to leave it for the last few matches. After overcoming the disappointment of Siddharth Jadhav not firing, the Steelers changed their approach and their SOP. Coach Manpreet used the services of Vinay and Shivam Patare which worked for the Steelers. Siddharth Desai has been inconsistent in this season, but he bounced back with a Super 10 against the Patna Pirates. This is also a blessing in disguise for the Steelers as he could be their X factor in the eliminators. But it was the Haryana defense which went overboard hunting the Pirates. Defender Rahul Sethpal was ruthless as he earned 8 tackle points while Jaideep and left corner Mohit scored 12 tackle points between them. The Steelers intensified their attacks in the second half to overtake the Pirates and secure the last spot in the eliminators. Their biggest strength is the options they have in their squad. Also most of the youngsters have punched above their weight. Radier Vinay, defenders Rahul Sethpal and Ashish are prime examples.

After an inconsistent start to the season, fans thought that U Mumba is peaking at the right time. They won 4 consecutive matches and have moved to the 6th spot in the points table. But U Mumba could not maintain the momentum on their home turf in Mumbai.  They lost to the defending champions, Jaipur followed by a defeat to former champions Dabang Delhi. This has been the pattern of U Mumba in season 10 as they win a few matches which is followed by a nervous breakdown. This pushed them to the 10th spot in the points table as they could win just 6 matches in the season. U Mumba had issues with their raiding in their first few games. But it was sorted as Guman Singh found his mojo along with young Iranian raider Zafardanesh scoring at a brisk pace. But in the last couple of weeks during the league stage, Mumba started disintegrating and they were out of the race for the next round. It is a case of completing their commitments in the season as they take on the Haryana Steelers.

Mumba gave a tough fight to the Steelers in their last encounter. They forced a TIE in a hig h scoring match. Zafardanesh scored a Super 10 in that match along with some precise hunting by defenders Sombir and Rinku. Unfortunately as the season progressed, defender Rinku was out of action while raider Guman Singh got injured. This resulted in U Mumba losing to the Bengal Warriors in their last match. As Mumba is out of the race for the next round, young raider Shivam as handed the captaincy and he delivered with a Super 10. Defenders Bittu and Sombir scored 7 tackle points between them but the other members could not contribute. Hence Mumba lost the match by a margin of 12 points. Mumba will be up against the very aggressive Haryana Steelers. 

As U Mumba cannot move ahead in the tournament, they will try out youngsters as they did in their last match. Raiders Shivam, Zafardanesh and all-rounder Visvanath need to motivate themselves as well as their team members to put up a fight for their fans. Mumba will aim to win this match and finish on a high.
