The Haryana Steelers have recharged themselves in the last few games. They beat the fancied Bengaluru Bulls in their last game and have moved to the 7th spot in the points table. Though raider Manjeet Dahiya has been good, it is Meetu Sharma who has to lead the raiding for the Steelers. Though Captain Nitin Rawal is not in the best of form, the defenders have made sure that the Steelers do not give away easy points.

On the other hand, the UP Yodha seems to have lost steam in their last few games. After an impressive start to the season, the Yodha has been oscillating between good performances and vulnerable bouts. Hence they have been pushed down the points table to the 10ths spot. They lost to the Puneri Paltan in their last game which made matters worse for them.

They take on the in-form Steelers with the hope that their team will revitalize and get back to winning ways.

Haryana Steelers Preview

Without big stars, the Haryana Steelers have displayed grit and teamwork in most of their games. After a scratchy start to the season, the Steelers have resonated in most of their games. After thrashing the Telegu Titans the Steelers settled for TIE against the Puneri Paltan. That was a good decision as it helped the Steelers to test themselves against a strong opposition.

This TIE gave them enough self-belief to beat a strong Bengaluru Bulls side in their next game. It was a low-scoring game and the Steelers defense showed nerves of steel to deny the Bulls many tackle points in the second half and that was the difference between both the teams. The Steelers won the match by a margin of just 2 points.

Defender Jaideep Dahiya has been the architect of this impregnable defense. He has been supported nicely by the right cover Mohit Nandal. Jaideep has executed 23 successful tackles in 9 games while Mohit has contributed with 18 successful tackles.

The introduction of Iranian defender Amirhossoin Bastami has bolstered the Steelers defense as he earned 5 tackle points in that crucial game against the Bulls. This dynamic combination of defenders has resulted in the Haryana Steelers executing 9 Super tackles which have helped them save themselves from all-outs on many occasions.

The Steelers have not played too many games against UP Yodha but they enjoy a better record against them. The Haryana Steelers have beaten the Yodha in 3 out of their 6 games. They "Tied" a game last season and then beat the Yodha in another encounter. The Steelers will exploit the current situation of the Yodha who do not look in a great rhythm.

U.P. Yoddha Preview

The UP Yodha is going through a mid-season crisis. Even though raiders Pardeep Narwal and Surender Gill have excelled, the Yodha has struggled to defend its fort. The defense has been porous resulting in Yodha’s inconsistent performances.

After beating the Tamil Thalaiva earlier in the week, they slipped against the Patna Pirates. The Yodha came back to beat the Telegu Titans, only to lose to the Puneri Paltan last night. This upheaval has led to Yodha being pushed to the 10th spot in the points table.

It is the defense that has disappointed. Captain Nitesh Kumar was on fire in the last season, but this time he has not been able to recreate the magic. This has put a lot of pressure on defender Sumit. Defender Ashu Singh has done well too with 25 successful tackles in 9 games. But overall the UP Yodha has not been able to guard itself against opposition raiders.

The Yodha earned just 5 tackle points against the Puneri Paltan.

Pardeep Narwal and company have conducted 156 successful team raids out of their total 370 team raids in 9 games.

UP Yodha has executed 8 Super raids and 7 Super tackles.

Though they have inflicted 14 all-outs on their opponent, they have also conceded 13 in 9 games.

These inconsistencies have put them in a spot and the Yodha needs to recharge itself urgently. Dubki King Pardeep Narwal is in hot blazing form as he has earned 3 Super 10’s while partner Surender Gill has 5 Super 10’s to his name. The UP Yodha needs to find a stable defensive combination to help its cause in the upcoming games.

The Yodha takes on the Haryana Steelers who have generally troubled them in the past. UP Yodha will need to be decisive in their approach in terms of how to tackle the Steelers.

Welcome to the Northern derby as the in-form Steelers take on the struggling Yodha.

UP Yodha had a torrid time on the mat in their last game against the Puneri Paltan. Their defense failed them and they cannot be ill-prepared against the Steelers. UP Yodha have to introduce Iranian Abozar Meghani to bolster their defense. The burly right corner will help the Yodha to neutralize the Haryana raiders. Captain Nitish will take a break to allow left corner Sumit to take charge of the defense along with Ashu Singh. The Yodha cannot afford to lose another game.

The Haryana Steelers will rely on raiders Meetu Sharma and Manjeet Dahiya for a steady raiding income. The Steelers have enough raiding options in the form of Rakesh Narwal, Vinay, and Iranian Mohammed Mahali. Defenders Jaideep, Mohit Nandal, and Amir Bastami will dominate. They will deploy special moves to tackle Pardeep Narwal. Captain Nitin Rawal will contribute in assists as the Haryana Steelers will make quick work of the UP Yodha.

Haryana Steelers will win.
