None of their raiders were able to score a Super 10, but it was a collective effort that saw them past the finish line. Arjune Deshwal was corners by the Haryana defense but he still managed to earn 9 points. Young Bhavani Rajput chipped in with 6 points. But it was the Jaipur defense which was hot and spicy. The Pink Panther defenders earned 15 out of the 37 team points which their precise hunting. Left corner Ankush scored a Hi 5 while captain Sunil Kumar and Reza Mirbhagehri earned 4 points each. The defending champions have displayed a lot of maturity and tactical brilliance in their last 5 matches. They had a few hiccups earlier in the season as they were forced to settle for a TIE in a couple of games. 

Arjun Deshwal is having a dream run as he has earned 157 raid points from 119 raids. He continues to terrorize his opponents whenever he ventures into their territory. Fortunately, Arjun has been able to maintain his form which is crucial for the Pink Panthers. Bhavani Rajput, veteran Ajith and Rahul Chaudhary have supported Arjun quite effectively. Left corner Ankush needs to gear up as he did last season. Once he gets his rhythm, he is unstoppable. He executed 41 successful tackles in 14 matches which includes 5 Hi 5’s. Iranian Reza Mirbahgeri has been a pleasant surprise as he has started earning regularly. This has given a lot of confidence to Captain Sunil Kumar. 

The Pink Panthers do not have a great record against the Bengal Warriors. They beat them twice during the league games last year, but overall they have won just 6 out of their 17 encounters. The defending champions settled for a TIE in their last outing against the Bengal Warriors in this season. That was a low scoring match which was dominated by the defenders of both teams.

This will be a perfect match up between their raiding superstars and deadly defenders.

Bengal Warriors Preview

The Bengal Warriors are going through a mid-season crisis as they find themselves stuck at the 6th spot in the points table. They have won just 6 out of their 13 matches. The Bengal Warriors surprised themselves more than anyone else with a good performance in their first game of the season as they beat the fancied Bengaluru Bulls. But post a few early victories, the Warriors lost steam and started losing matches. But they have picked up pace in the last 3 matches which they have won comfortably. They defeated the Telegu Titans, UP Yodha and Bengaluru Bulls for the second time in the season. 

Captain Mighty Maninder is their rock of Gibraltar. He has worked like a one man army through the season. Maninder has earned 120 raid points from 94 successful raids. Unfortunately, the Warriors have grabbled with their support raiders. Veteran Srikant Jadhav has been below par while youngsters Nitin Singh and Vishwas have not got enough match time. In fact, Vishwas was asked to lead the side in the absence of Maninder in one of the games which they won. Bengal Warriors have some of the best defenders on the circuit. Shubham Shinde is having a dream run as he has executed 46 successful tackles in 13 matches. But his efforts have not been consistently complimented by the other defenders. This has resulted in the Warriors losing some matches which they should have won. 

Right cover Vaibhav Garje was over zealous on occasions, left corner S Aditya have delivered once in a while. The Warriors are not able to get a perfect player for the left cover position. They have tried Harsh Lad and Jaskirat Singh but something is missing. Bengal Warriors need to reboot themselves. 

Surprisingly Bengal Warriors have dominated the Pink Panthers over the years. They have won 10 out of their 17 encounters which is quite impressive. Though the Warriors would like to forget season 9 as they lost both their league matches to the Pink Panthers. The Warriors played out their first TIE against the Jaipur Pink Panthers earlier in this season. This was a low scoring match where the raiders of both teams failed to score. 

Captain Maninder Singh has to carry the burden of the entire team. If in case he is trapped by the opposition, raiders Srikant Jadhav and Vishwas will have to adapt and take the lead. Young raider Suyog Gaikar and defender Darpan performed quite well in the first match, they will need to be consistent and aggressive if given an opportunity. Bengal Warriors need to win this match desperately to get out of the bottom of the points table.

Welcome to the contest between the former champions at Hyderabad. Both teams are going through varied emotions. The Pink Panthers are on cloud 9 as they have won their last 5 matches. They operate like a well-oiled machine. Arjun Deshwal will be impressive once again as he will score a Super 10. He will target the weak links in the Bengal defense. The Jaipur defense will be super strong as they will target Maninder Singh. This may lead to the Bengal Warriors faltering in the first half. Jaipur defenders Sunil Kumar and Reza Mirbhagheri will be precise with their moves.

But the Bengal Warriors will not give in so easily. Right corner Shubham Shinde will haunt Arjun Deshwal through the match. This will be an interesting duel between these two talented players. The only concern for the Bengal Warriors will be the resonance among their defenders. If they are able to keep Arjun Deshwal off the mat, it will help them carve their way through the Pink Panthers.
