Defender Ankush has been the surprise package as he has performed overwhelmingly. He has added spice to the Panther's defense which has helped them overcome difficult situations.

The defending champions had a torrid time as they lost 6 games on the trot. This was the same team that had a 5 match-unbroken winning streak. A freak injury to Naveen Kumar in one of the matches against the Tamil Thalaiva took the Dabang downhill. Even the return of Naveen in the next match did not stop their slide. The defense of Dabang Delhi had become predictable and loose.

Fortunately, they won their last game against the Telegu Titans and Dabang will hope that the jinx is over. The defending champions have slipped to the 6th position in the points table and they need to reboot very quickly. Naveen Kumar is their only hope for the resurrection. He is the top-performing raider of the season with 146 points from 116 raids.

This included 10 Super 10’s. What has hurt Dabang is a sudden loss of confidence in their defense. In their match against the Jaipur Pink Panthers, the defending champions could score only 7 tackle points. To add to this breakdown, Dabang Delhi was all-out thrice in the match. 

Dabang Delhi was guilty of the same against the Puneri Paltan where they conceded 3 all-outs in the match. This loss of steam takes away all the advantage that is achieved by Naveen in his raids.

Naveen Kumar will once again earn handsomely for his team. Raiders Ashu Malik and Manjeet will support him well. Right cover Ravi Kumar and left cover Vishal will handle the defense with care and target Rahul Chaudhary and Ajith. Defenders Krishnan Dhull and Vijay Kumar will come up with innovative moves to reduce Arjun Deshwal’s efficiency. Dabang Delhi will try and exploit the fact that the Pink Panthers will be playing their second game in 2 days.
