He was ably supported by Narender Kandola. Both raiders complemented each other shaping the fortunes of their team. They finished 5th last year losing to UP Yodha in the eliminator. But the Tamil Thalaiva could not maintain the intensity over the entire season. They kept on losing crucial games which did not allow them to venture in the top 5 of the points table. The Thalaiva got back to winning ways quite late in the season as they desperately tried to qualify for the next round. Unfortunately it was too late to flourish.

Sagar was one of the best defenders of season 9. He executed 45 successful tackles while partner Sahil Gulia executed 53 successful tackles in 23 matches. But this year, Sagar could not play all the games due to injury. Though Sahil Gulia led the side he could not produce the necessary victories which could have earned them points. Young raider Narender Kandola earned 243 points last year, thus catapulting him among the best raider in the league. This year was just above average for him as he earned just 169 raid points. 

Defenders Sagar and Sahil Gulia did executed 122 successful tackles in 21 matches collectively. But they could not get enough support from their raiders. Tamil Thalaiva gave a tough fight to Dabang Delhi in their last match. Narender Kandola scored 18 raid points and matched Delhi raider Ashu Malik. But the men in yellow fell short of just 3 points as their defense crumbled and their support raiders could not earn enough. 

The Thalaiva does not have a great record against the Bengal Warriors. But over the years, the Tamil Thalaiva has emerged stronger. That is the reason, they were able to beat the Warriors once and forced a TIE in another game last year. The Thalaiva is a dangerous unit which can exploit a weak defense. Bengal lost 10 out of their 21 matches which kept them behind the top 6 teams in the points table. Even though captain Maninder has been consistent earning 188 raid points in the season, the Warriors could not execute a smooth take-off. They hit turbulence regularly even though defender Shubham Shinde executed 60 successful tackles in 20 matches.

Bengal Warriors had tactical issues as they could not match their opponents in many games. Their support raiders too could not earn enough to complement Maninder. Srikant Jadhav could not repeat his exploits in this season. Young raider Nitin Kumar and Vishwas could have been used more efficiently by the Warriors. Bengal lost their last match to the Puneri Paltan. This was a low scoring affair as none of the teams could score above 30 team points. Bengal lost by just 3 points as their defenders failed to flourish. It was shocking to see the Bengal defense earning just 3 points in the entire match. The Warriors will be looking forward to end the season with a victory as they take on the Tamil Thalaiva in their last outing of this season.
