This is a match where two contrasting teams will clash. Dabang Delhi is at on top of the points table though they have lost consecutive games before this one. Tamil Thalaiva is placed 11th in the points table though they shocked everybody by beating the much stronger Jaipur Pink Panthers in their last game.

Tamil Thalaiva seized the opportunity against the Pink Panthers. They realized that star Jaipur raider Arjun Deshwal was not part of the starting 7 and they exploited the situation quite well. They took a lead of 20-8 at the end of the first half and made a mark. They kept up the pressure to win the game by a margin of 11 points to register their 2nd win of the season.

Dabang Delhi needs to have a relook at its tactics as they lost to the Bengal Warriors. It was a tough game but chinks in the armour were exposed. They had lost to the Patna Pirates before this. They will take on the Tamil Thalaiva who may not be strong but they will be excited by their win over the Pink Panthers. This might be an itchy affair for Dabang.

Tamil Thalaivas Preview

Tamil Thalaiva have been a tad unfortunate this season. They lost their prized possession, Pawan Sehrawat in the first match itself to injury. He is still in rehabilitation but the Thalaiva is struggling on the mat. After all the bad things happening to them, they were presented with an opportunity by the Jaipur Pink Panthers which they grabbed with both hands.

Tamil Thalaiva shocked the Pink Panthers by beating them in their last game. Young raider Narender seized the chance to score 13 points in that game. Tamil Thalaiva was aggressive since the first minute as they raced to a decent lead and ended the first half with a score of 20-8 in their favour. 

Right corner Sagar and left corner Sahil Gulia were in good rhythm while defenders M Abhishek and Himanshu were in top gear. The defense earned 15 out of the 38 team points in that match. This win will give a lot of confidence to the Thalaiva who is desperately waiting for their Hi Flyer to return.

But fundamentally the Thalaiva needs to work on a lot of things. Even with the presence of defender Sagar who is arguably one of the best in the business, they have not been able to create good defensive combinations.

Though they have executed 68 successful team tackles, they have executed just 96 successful raids out of the 292 team raids conducted. This has been their major concern. 

While they have inflicted 4 all-outs in 7 games, they have conceded 12. 

The Thalaiva has to come out of its shell and unleash its youngsters on its opponents to improve its chances of winning games.

Dabang Delhi K.C. Preview

Toppers of season 9 are going through very typical times. After winning 5 games on the trot, they suffered hiccups as they lost consecutive games. First they lost to the Patna Pirates and then to the Bengal Warriors.

There was a typical pattern in both these games. Though Naveen scored 21 points in 2 games, he was cornered and wasn’t allowed to score effortlessly. This affected Dabang’s momentum. In both the game, the defense was at its best but the additional income from Naveen was missing. Dabang Delhi has to be careful that their opponents do not exploit this chink in the armour. 

Raiders Manjeet and Ashu Malik have been able to compensate a bit, Dabang Delhi lose their edge with Naveen Express not able to score over 15 points in a game. But the defending champions will not worry too much as they take on the Tamil Thalaiva. 

Dabang Delhi has a wonderful success rate in team raids as well as tackles. They have conceded just 6 all-outs in 7 games while they have inflicted 11.

Naveen Kumar has earned 91 raid points from 7 games. Defender Krishnan Dhull has been impressive with 22 successful tackles in 7 games.

Dabang Delhi enjoys total domination over the Thalaiva having beaten them in 5 out of their 6 encounters. Though the Thalaiva held Dabang for a TIE in their first match of season 8 and later the Thalaiva lost by just a point. 

Dabang will hope that they don’t have to sweat too much against the Thalaiva and this would be a great opportunity for them to get back to winning ways.

Ideally this should be one way street for Dabang Delhi but we have seen strange things happening on the mat. Tamil Thalaiva will hope for another lucky day. Raider Narender will look at the bonus points and any chance of beating the Delhi defense. Himanshu Singh and Ajinkya Pawar will trouble the Delhi defense. Left Corner Sahil Gulia and left cover Mohit should be able to tackle Naveen Kumar. This is an extraordinary chance for the Thalaiva as they can exploit the weaknesses of Dabang exposed in their earlier games.

Dabang Delhi will be looking for redemption after consecutive losses. Naveen Express will be running on time and on full speed. Raiders Manjeet and Ashu Malik will have to be aggressive for bonus points as well as on DoD raids. Defenders Ravi Kumar and Krishnan Dhull will trouble Thalaiva raider Narender and keep him off the mat for a long time.

Dabang will try to win this by a big margin.
