The Tamil Thalaiva seems to be bitten by the Telegu Titans bug. They started off in style but currently find themselves in the 11th spot in the points table. They lost to the Jaipur Pink Panthers by just 1 point in their last match. The Haryana Steelers got a shock in their last game as they were conned by the Telegu Titans. They too lost the match by just 1 point. 

Both teams need to recharge themselves urgently. The Thalaiva took an early lead in the match against the Pink Panthers as their young raider Himanshu Narwal conducted a Super raid and inflicted an all-out in the first 10 minutes of the match. They had a nervous breakdown in this low scoring encounter as they squandered the lead to lose the match by 1 point. Haryana Steelers too had a brain fade in their last raid against the Telegu Titans. They missed a golden opportunity to trap Pawan Sehrawat who stole the match from the Steelers.

The men in yellow need to revitalize themselves. After winning 2 out of their 6 matches, they find themselves just above the last benchers Telegu Titans in the points table. With consecutive defeats, the Thalaiva has lost a lot of momentum. They have lost their last 3 matches which has shocked their fans. After defeating the Telegu Titans, they looked extremely confident only to be conned by U Mumba and the Patna Pirates. Tamil lost both these matches by a margin of 13 points. They decided to change their strategy against the Jaipur Pink Panthers.

After taking a lead of 6 points by half-time in a low scoring encounter, Tamil Thalaiva became complacent to lose the match by just 1 point. They replaced raiders Narender Kandola and Ajinkya Pawar with M Lakshanan and Himanshu Narwal which worked as the Thalaiva inflicted an all-out in the first 10 minutes of the match courtesy a Super raid by Himanshu Narwal. But in the absence of captain Sagar, the Thalaiva could not maintain the pressure in a low scoring match. With their backs to the wall, the Tamil Thalaiva urgently needs a resurgence. They will be up against the Haryana Steelers who were shocked by the Telegu Titans in their last match. One of the youngest teams of the PKL is vibrant, aggressive and unpredictable. They lost to the Telegu Titans in their last bout by just 1 point. This was a match they should have won or at least settled for a TIE. The Steelers were on a spree as they won 4 consecutive games only to fall short by a point against the Telegu Titans. They unleashed young raider Shivam Pathare who bamboozled the opposition defense. He scored a Super 10 while Vinay scored 9 raid points. Hence the Haryana Steelers have moved away from superstar Siddharth Desai whom they signed up at a hefty price at the auctions. 

Coach Manpreet has decided to punt on youngsters in his team for better results. Haryana has been in ominous form as they have defeated teams like Dabang Delhi, Gujarat Giants and the Puneri Paltan. Hence they will not be too worried about the puncture against the Telegu Titans. Haryana Steelers have a strong defense. Captain Jaideep Dahiya, Mohit Nandal, Rahul Sethpal and left corner Mohit form an impregnable wall.

They have a success rate of almost 41% in team tackles. But they need to improve on their consistency if they dream of winning regularly. This will be a contest between teams who were shocked by their opponents in their respective matches. Both teams lost by just 1 points and hence they will eager to get back to winning ways. The Tamil Thaliava is facing an issue with their raiding. They have got young Himanshu Narwal who will score a Super 10. But raider Lakshanan will have to compliment him. Tamil will use the services to veteran Ajinkya Pawar who may struggle. If Sagar is fit enough he will lead the side, else Sahil Gulia will need to work in double shift as a captain. Tamil Thalaiva will be aggressive in the first half but their biggest challenge will be to maintain the intensity.

Haryana Steelers will unleash raiders Vinay and Shivam. One of them will score a Super 10. The Haryana defense will trouble the Tamil raiders as they may inflict an all-out very early. The pace of the game may reduce in the second half as both teams will fall back on the Do or Die raid strategy.
