Tamil Thalaiva and the Telegu Titans are teams with a huge fan following. Most of the teams are envious of them for the unconditional support they get from their fans. But both teams have never been able to provide their fans with winning moments. Telegu Titans have lost its first 3 matches of the season while the Thalaiva faltered against the Bengal Warriors after winning their first match. 

Hi flyer Pawan Sehrawat is the lone warriors for the Telegu Titans. Defenders Mohit and Milad Jabbari were outstanding in their last match but overall the Titans have a weak defense. Hence they are not able to complement Pawan’s efforts. Due to their high rate of unforced errors, coach Sriniwas Reddy is forced to change players constantly. This makes it impossible to set up a cohesive unit.

One of the most underrated teams of the league, Tamil Thalaiva always had superstars in its ranks. Still the Thalaiva could not reach out for the stars over the years. They performed beyond expectations last year when they forced their way into the play-off only to lose in the eliminator. But that was a spirited performance by them in season 9.

Thalaiva impressed everyone as they beat the mighty Dabang Delhi in their first match. young raiders Narender Kandola and Ajinkya Pawar were precise as they earned 29 raid points between them. Ajinkya hammered 21 raid points in that match. After beating Dabang Delhi by a margin of 11 points, they faced the Bengal Warriors. This was a high scoring match which took Tamil Thalaiva by surprise. They scored 27 points in the first half but lost their intensity later in the game to lose by 10 points. 

They could score only 4 tackle points in the second half and conceded 2 all-outs. This took the game away from them. This was a match that the Thalaiva should have won. But this is the beginning of a long season and Tamil Thalaiva can forget this as a blemish. They have a good raiding party led by Ajinkya Pawar. Narender Kandola, Nitin Singh and Himanshu Singh provide the necessary back up. Their biggest strength is their defense with captain Sagar leading the charge.

Sagar was one of the best defenders last year and he has started season 10 with some fluid tackles. Left corner Sahil Gulia and defender Mohit are dangerous customers. Defender M Abhisek needs to be consistent for the Thalaiva to win regularly. 

Tamil is up against the slippery Telgu Titans who have not won a match this season. Tamil Thalaiva have a good record against the Titans as they have won 6 out of their 12 encounters. They have not lost to the Telegu Titans since season 7. This will be a golden opportunity for the Thalaiva to get back to winning ways.

Telugu Titans Preview

The Telegu Titans have developed a reputation for themselves since many years. Though they may have the best players on the circuit, they can’t seem to win matches. They could win just 2 last year while this season they have lost all their 3 matches. Their journey till season 5 was impressive but them they lost steam. Their winning rate was just about 30% through the next few years. They finished last in the points table in season 8 and season 9. Telegu Titans won just 3 out of their 44 matches in these 2 seasons. 

Still their fans have a lot of faith in their team and support them whole-heartedly. Telegu Titans signed Hi Flyer Pawan Sehrawat for 2.6Cr INR in the auctions thus making him the most expensive player of the season. But this move have not resulted in any change of fortunes for the Titans as they have lost their first 3 games. They lost to the Gujarat Giants followed by a loss to the Patna Pirates. UP Yodha hammered them in their next match.

Pawan Sehrawat has earned 32 raid points from 25 successful raids in 3 matches. But the Titans do not have an effective second raider who could complement Pawan. Rajneesh and Robin Chaudhary have not been up to the mark. Another major headache for the Titans is their defense. Iranian Milad Jabbari and left corner Ankit have scored successful tackles but defenders Sandeep Dhull and Parvesh Bhainswal have been disappointing. 

Telegu Titans have conceded 136 points in 3 matches and have conceded the maximum number of all-outs. They have just about 31% success rate in team tackles while their raiding efficiency is around 33%. They will be up against the Tamil Thalaiva who have been very aggressive in their first 2 matches. 

The Titans have generally struggled against the Thalaiva as they have won just 5 out of their 12 encounters. This is a very critical phase for the Titans as they need to resonate as a team and win matches for their fans.

Winning Prediction

Welcome to another blockbuster as the Tamil Thalaiva take on the out of form Telegu Titans. The Titans have not done as badly as the results suggest but what matters is victories. Pawan Sehrawat needs better support from his teammates. He will score another Super 10 but raider Rajneesh may not be able to deliver. Young Robin Chaudhary will impress but the trio may not be able to win more than 20 raid points. Telegu has to depend on too many all-rounders. Milad Jabbari and Sanjeevi will contribute especially in the second half but overall the Telegu defense will perform under par.

Tamil Thalaiva will be very aggressive in the first half as they did against the Bengal Warriors. Raiders Ajinkya Pawar and Narender, both will score a Super 10. Defenders Sagar and Sahil Gulia will feast on the Telegu raiders. Left cover Mohit will attack Pawan Sehrawat early in the first half. 

The Telegu Titans will make a comeback in the second half. But they will have to be careful about not conceding all-outs. Both teams are vulnerable post half-time which will result in a high scoring match.
