The Telegu Titans and the Bengaluru Bulls have failed to impress in this season. Both teams with tremendous fan following have been disappointing. The Titans went down fighting to the defending champions while the Bulls lost to the Bengal Warriors by a margin of 6 points. Hi Flyer Pawan Sehrawat kept on fighting a losing battle. He got the support of left corner veteran defender Sandeep Dhull who scored a Hi 5. But otherwise, the Titans looked like a rusted unit. Similarly the Bulls had a nervous breakdown as raider Bharat Hooda stole the show with a Super 10 while defender Surjeet took 4 tackle points. Just like the Titans, the Bulls too went through a nervous breakdown.

Both teams have tried to salvage whatever is left for them in the season. But it is a bit too late for them. With just 1 victory in 12 matches, the Telegu Titans are out of contention for the play-off. But the Bulls too are down and dusted. Bengaluru had a tough time handling the Titans in their last match on 24th December. They will try and keep the slate clean with another win on their southern arch-rivals.

Telugu Titans Preview

The Telegu Titans are back in their den, but they look totally exhausted. They have been able to win just 1 match in this season. The Titans never got off to a start in season 10. Their struggles seem like no light at the end of the tunnel. Captain Pawan Sehrawat never got the support of the team through the entire tournament.

The Titans had a tough time against Jaipur Pink Panthers in their last match. They did put up a fight but fell short by 3 points. They were hammered twice in the first half as they conceded 2 all-outs. Telegu Titans trailed by 19 points by half-time. They came back sharply in the second half courtesy Captain Pawan Sehrawat who scored 12 raid points even though he was off the mat for almost 15 minutes of the match. Left corner Sandeep Dhull was effective as usual with a Hi 5. But otherwise the entire Telegu Titans unit failed.

This has been the story for them in season 10. They have won just 1 out of their 12 matches. They put up a brave fight in at least 4 out of the 11 matches they lost. Telegu Titans have seriously missed out of the X factor. They were day-dreaming at the beginning of the season as they thought that Pawan Sehrawat alone would take them to the summit.

Telegu Titans have conceded 521 points in the season. They have also conceded 30 all-outs in 12 matches which is almost 2 all-outs in every game. The Titans lead the pack in both these categories.

Their success rate in team raids is just 32% while their efficiency in team tackles is about 33%. Both are disappointing numbers.

The Titans will be up against their regional arch-rivals, Bengaluru Bulls. They did give them a run for their money on 24th December 2024 when they first collided with the former champions. Unfortunately, the Titans do not have a great record against the Bulls. Titans have not won a match against the Bulls since season 4. Playing in front of their home crowd at the Gacchibowli Stadium in Hyderabad will be an emotional affair. But can the Titans win it for their fans?

Bengaluru Bulls Preview

The Bengaluru Bulls have failed to impress in season 10. They have been scratchy and fragile.

They suffered a breakdown once again as they lost to the Bengal Warriors in their last match. They went down by 6 points in a low scoring match. Raider Bharat Hooda was the lone warrior as he scored a Super 10. He did get some support from veteran defender Surjeet who earned 4 tackle points. But none of the other players could contribute. The Bulls trailed by 7 points at half-time as they conceded an all-out very early in the match. There was a brief period in the second half when the Bulls fought back but they soon ran out of gas. They matched the Bengal Warriors but could not compensate for the losses of the first half. With another all-out conceded in the second half, it was all over for the former champions. With just 5 victories from 13 matches is it end of the road for the Bulls?

The Bengaluru Bulls have a success rate in team tackles of about 33% while their success rate in team tackles is about 43%.

They have conceded 461 team points in 13 matches.

The Bulls have inflicted 13 all-outs while conceded 20 in 13 matches.

Though their raiders have executed 8 Super raids and their defenders have been able to execute 10 Super tackles in 13 matches.

The Bulls have been through a disappointing month in season 10 as they are placed 9th in the points table after playing 13 matches. They were totally out of sorts in their first few games. Such was the confusion among their team, that they could not challenge their opponents in most games. Fortunately, they have starting getting their act together since the last week of December. The Bulls have won 2 out of their last 5 matches which should give some hope to their fans.

The Bulls played the 50th match of season 10 against their regional rivals Tamil Thalaiva. But now they will be up against another familiar foe, The Telegu Titans. Bengaluru Bulls have an immaculate record against the Telegu Titans. They have won 15 out of their 22 encounters with the Titans. But both teams have played out 4 TIED games in the PKL. The Bulls have not lost to the Titans since season 4 which is a fantastic record. But the Bulls cannot forget the fact that the Titans haunted them in their last match in this season which was played on 24th December 2023. The Bulls escaped with a margin of 2 points. Hence at this point of time in the tournament, the Bulls cannot afford to lose to the Titans in Hyderabad.

Welcome to the repeat of the southern derby in Hyderabad as the Bulls take on home team Telegu Titans. Unfortunately, the Titans never woke up to the challenge. Captain Pawan Sehrawat has scored 107 raid points in this tournament. Yet the Titans have won just 1 match this season. Pawan will add another Super 10 to his tally of 8. He may not get much support from the other raiders. Defense wise the Titans are quite weak with just left corner Sandeep Dhull operating as a lone wolf. Telegu Titans may concede a couple of all-outs in the match.

The Bengaluru Bulls will be eager to exploit the fragile Telegu defense. Bulls need a win desperately as their campaign of season 10 has already got washed off. Raider Bharat Hooda will lead their charge while the support raiders may not get enough. But defenders Surjeet and Captain Sourabh Nandal may trouble the Titans through the match. Left corner Ran Singh will also be effective. This may not be a high scoring match, but the Telegu Titans may just surprise everyone. Titans may just win their second match of the season equaling their record of season 9.

Bengaluru Bulls will win.
