Former Champions Bengal Warriors were prone to the same issues that troubled them last season, defense not in resonance with the raiders. They had a decent start to their game against the Haryana Steelers. They led by a point at half time but then it all disintegrated for them. Star raider Maninder was trapped with ease as he could earn only 7 raid points. All-rounder Manoj Gowda was impressive in his first game.

Left corner Girish Ernak was working like a lone wolf as other defenders were guilty of advanced tackles and unforced errors. Bengal Warriors have an opportunity to get back in shape as they take on the hapless Telegu Titans.

The Titans too need to set their team combination at the earliest. They seem to be lost for solutions in their first game as they could not continue with star raiders who were not earning while expecting youngsters like Rajneesh and Vinay to perform. They will be up against a tough Bengal side, but this will be a blessing in disguise for the Titans as they can try and exploit the chinks in the armor of Bengal Warriors.

Telugu Titans Preview

Telegu Titan fans were over the top post the auctions as they grabbed some top names in the circuit. With a line-up having Siddhart Desai and Monu Goyat along with star defenders like Ravinder Pahal, Surjeet, Vishal Bharadwaj, and Parvesh Bhainswal, the fans were expecting the Titans to start off with a big win. Unfortunately, it was an anti-thesis for the Titans as they succumbed easily to the Bulls in their first game.

Titans went into a flashback as it took over 15 games for them to register their first win in season 8. But the Titans have a golden opportunity as they take on the Bengal Warriors who seem to be having similar problems.

Coach Venkatesh Goud and his deputy Manjeet Chillar have their task cut out. They will have to take a call on whether to win games or give their stars some more match time. Titans can use the inform raider Rajneesh to lead the attack while expecting defenders like Surjeet and Parvesh to provide stability in their defense. Vishal Bharadwaj and captain Ravinder Pahal will have to control their instincts in order to reduce unforced errors.

The Telegu Titans have the best team this season. All the players will need to contribute and the team needs to take baby steps toward victory. A win in this game will build momentum as well as provide the necessary motivation to all the players.

Raiders Siddharth Desai and Monu Goyat will have to rethink their raiding technique as most of the opposition seem to have decoded them thoroughly.

Bengal Warriors Preview

Former Champions started with a loss in their first game as they lost to Haryana Steelers by 8 points. Raider Maninder gave them a good start while left corner Girish Ernak was at his best. But this fairy tale ended in the first half as Haryana Steelers mowed down the Bengal defense. The Warriors had no clue how to stop Haryana raider Manjeet who looted 19 points in the match.

This will be one of the biggest concerns for the Warriors. Without Mohammedreza, this team looks short of ammunition. Other raiders like Shrikant Jadhav and Aslam Thambi need to deliver. It was disappointing to see all-rounder Deepak Hooda and defender Surender Nada not able to forge a lethal partnership.

Both these players are vital for the success of Bengal Warriors. Raider Maninder Singh looks in great shape but over the years, the opposition seems to have learned how to tackle him early. In this case, do the Warriors have any contingency plans?

Winners of season 7, Bengal Warriors looked like a shadow of themselves in the last season. They finished in the bottom half with only 9 wins in 22 games. They will have to turn around quickly as they have the firepower to beat any team.

It will all depend on how the defense work over the season for Bengal Warriors.

This will another tricky game of season 9 which has already seen a couple of tied games. Telegu Titans will have to tighten their defense immediately so as to maintain a balance in their income and expenditure. Defenders Parvesh and Surjeet will be the key. Titans will need to surprise the Warriors with their raiding tactics.

Bengal Warriors have to warm up urgently to plug the leaks in their defense. Deepak Hooda and Surender Nada need to be lethal and complement left corner Girish Ernak. All-rounder Manoj Gowda was impressive in the first game and he will need to support Maninder more aggressively.

Both teams have a few issues to sort out before the game as well as during the game. With a brittle defense on both sides, one can expect a high-scoring game.

Bengal Warriors will win.
