U Mumba has had a low profile season as they have won only 4 games out of the 12 they have played. Though they have tied 5 games, they have not been able to create the terror that they were known for. They started the season with more of a defensive thought process by fielding only 2 raiders and depending more on all-rounders. They have not been able to score too many points due to this.

They have earned only223 points in 12 games and this puts a lot of pressure on their defence.

Defender Rinku Narwal has been their best bet in defence, he has executed 3 Super tackles, 2 High 5’s and has executed 27 successful tackles in 12 games.

Captain Fazel Attrachali has been inspiring but has not been able to contribute too much in terms of points from the left corner.

Harender Singh was very swift in the initial matches but then he has not lived up to the expectations.

Chartbusters Bengaluru Bulls have been consistent, vibrant and adaptive. They have made the necessary changes whenever they have faced issues and that has helped them remain in the top 3. Currently, they are on top of the points table with 46 points from 14 games with 8 wins to their credit. This has been solely possible due to Hi Flyer Pawan Sehrawat and his exploits. 

He has 186 raid points from 151 successful raids including 11 Super 10’s. He has developed the knack of looting points if he is given space. 

The raiding support from Chandran Ranjith and Bharat has been impressive and they have also used the raiding services of Korean Dong Geon in DoD situations and he has delivered most of the time.

This has given a lot of diversity to the Bulls attack and as also kept most of their players physically fit and refreshed.

Their defence has been a bit inconsistent in certain games but overall their performance has been satisfactory. Left corner Aman and defender Saurabh Nandal have gathered tackle points at crucial moments and Mahender has also been magical in certain games.

The Bulls used raider Deepak Narwal in their last game against the Telegu Titans and it worked.

The Bulls have realized that the opposition tries to isolate Pawan Sehrawat. Hence they gather points from other sources if Pawan is trapped. But he goes beserk, the Bulls enjoy a bounty which has helped them build a very healthy score difference.

High-flyer Pawan Sehrawat has caught the imagination of kabaddi lovers this season with some extraordinary performances. He has been cornered and kept off the mat in some games, but Pawan has adapted and countered such moves. Bengaluru have a well-balanced side and they have been able to rotate players to keep the entire squad fully fit in such a brutal game. They have also been able to keep their entire squad safe and healthy in times of a pandemic.

U Mumba hasn’t been able to sharpen their skills as they have won only 4 out of their games. They still depend on a defensive way of kabaddi and this might hurt them in the long run. They will have to keep Pawan Sehrawat off the mat for longer durations if they dream of taming the Bulls. Their raiders are in decent form, but U Mumba are generally slow starters and if they allow the Bulls to take a healthy lead in the first half, it will force them to play safe as they have done in most of their earlier encounters.
