Can the last few days of 2023 bring luck to the Telegu Titans as they get ready to take on former champions U Mumba. The Titans have won just 1 game so far in the season. Though they lost a few close matches, overall Telegu Titans has been the weakest among all. As they get ready for their bout against U Mumba, nothing much is expected from them. Unfortunately the Telegu Titans have not used their youngsters effectively. They seem to be unsure about their utility.

The only way that the Telegu Titans can bounce back is by providing effervescent support to Pawan Sehrawat. They have to use players like Omkar, Praful Zaware, Ajith Pawar and Robin Chaudhary. All these youngsters have to part of the starting 7 in order to create an aggressive environment. The Telegu Titans were erratic against the Bengaluru Bulls in their last match. Pawan Seherawat scored a Super 10 while defender Ajith Pawar was lethal with his tackles as he scored a Hi 5. But the other raiders and defenders could not match the intensity as the Titans fell short of just 2 points in the end. This was a match that they should have won. The other major leakage for the Titans is the number of all-outs they concede. They have gifted 16 all-outs in 7 matches which is outrageous. They have inflicted the lowest all-outs in this season apart from conceding 294 points. The Titans have to get into austerity mode at least if they can’t earn heavily.

Former champions have not been able to dominate consistently. They have won 4 out of their 7 matches but they need to be more assertive in their approach. U Mumba has a young team coached by Iranian Gholamreza. They have displayed tenacity but lack consistency. Their biggest issue is their raiding. Young raiders Zafardanesh, Guman Singh and all-rounder Visanath have been their stable trio. Though U Mumba has the best success rate per match, its overall earning in raids has been just 145 points in 6 matches. Their raiding trio has been able to execute just 5 Super raids in 6 games.

A fragile defense has been another worry for U Mumba. With a success rate of just 33% in team tackles, Mumba is always on the back-foot while scoring. They have conceded 223 team points in 6 matches apart from 6 all-outs. Captain Surender Singh has been guilty of unforced errors. Though he held his nerve in the match against the Bengal Warriors where he scored 3 tackle points. Left cover Mahender Singh scored a Hi 5 while right corner Rinku scored 4 tackle points. Raider Guman Singh has under-performed this season. Though he has Iranian youngster Zafardanesh for company, both can earn at a much quicker pace. Guman and Zafardanesh have earned 98 raid points in 6 matches. But none of them is in the top 10. 

Mumba has a decent record against the Telegu Titans. They have won 9 out of the 16 encounters against the Titans over the years. Though the team from Hyderabad did surprise them last season in one of the league matches. Mumba lost that match by a margin of 6 points.

Welcome to the epic encounter of 2023 where the Telegu Titans take on U Mumba. Pawan Sehrawat has earned 76 raid points for the Titans and he will score another Super 10 against U Mumba. Titans will use raiders Robin Chaudhary and Praful Zaware but none of them will be effective. Left corner Sandeep Dhull will be aggressive in the first half but he will lose intensity as the game progresses. Left cover Ajith Pawar will be ruthless.
