You have to search for the best cricket betting apps, similarly to how you have to look for the leading cricket betting sites. Once again, this can be pretty tiresome, as the market is filled with countless betting apps that seem very functional and practical at first.
Unfortunately, plenty of them aren’t, so it’s best to rely on online reviews from experts like us. We’ve been in the field for many years and know precisely what a CPL betting app needs to have to be a worthwhile investment for a punter like you.
We’ve researched and found a few fantastic betting apps perfect for CPL punters. These cover the CPL extensively every year and offer competitive odds on a wide range of markets for each match. For example, the 10CRIC app provides full support for Indian players, many payment methods, and, quite possibly, the best cricket coverage.
The hugely popular Betway app is not just among the best CPL betting apps but also one of the leading sports betting apps for Indian punters. It has some of the best odds on the market and a great loyalty program.
We shouldn’t forget about the Parimatch app either, as it offers incredibly secure payments for Indians, as well as great coverage of various sports, including cricket.
The apps we recommend are of the highest quality and impeccable functionality on any Android and iOS device. Moreover, all of them cover everything their desktop versions do — as a result, you can make a bet on the go whenever you need to.

The Caribbean Premier League (CPL or CPLT20 for short) is the leading annual Twenty20 cricket tournament played between six teams from the Caribbean. It began in 2013 as a replacement for the Caribbean Twenty20, which lasted only four seasons.
The CPL is held every year, and it hosts the following six franchises:
- Barbados Royals
- Guyana Amazon Warriors
- Jamaica Tallawahs
- St Kitts and Nevis Patriots
- Saint Lucia Kings
- Trinbago Knight Riders
The St Kitts and Nevis Patriots are the only franchise that hasn’t been in the CPL since its start. They came as the replacement for the Antigua Hawksbills from the 2015 season onwards.
If CPL betting interests you, knowing the basics of the tournament is essential. The CPL functions according to the double round-robin format and playoffs. In other words, there’s the league followed by the playoffs stage.
During the league stage, every team gets to play ten matches, with only three being at home. It may seem unusual, but it was made so that every team could play in a single location for five consecutive matches. The whole tournament then moves to a different location, and it’s always one of the home fields of the participating teams.
At the end of the stage, four top-ranked teams advance to the playoffs consisting of two semi-final matches and the finals. A total of 33 matches are played over the whole month the tournament lasts.
In the 2021 season, the top-ranked teams that entered the semifinals were the Trinbago Knight Riders, Guyana Amazon Warriors, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, and Saint Lucia Kings. The Kings qualified for the finals after beating the Riders. They got to play against the Patriots, who entered the finals after defeating the Warriors narrowly. The Patriots then took home the champion trophy, their first ever.
What Are the CPL Rules?
The CPL rules are simple, as they are the same as the official ICC Twenty20 cricket rules. However, if you want to start with CPL betting online, you need to hear about a couple of specific alterations that make this tournament unique.
Namely, each match has a maximum of 15 overs per inning, but in the first week's matches, there are only 12. Also, each match has to start on schedule, and every team must have at least 7 players. If they have fewer than 11, overs are deducted from their batting quota until the 11th player enters.
The CPL has no leg-yes, but the batsman can still be run-out by the umpire, while the maximum number of overs per bowler is three.
Interestingly, whenever there’s a tie, a super over will be played, where there’s no toss and the team that batted the second at the start of the game gets to bat first.
In the end, it’s also worth mentioning that free hits are always given for no balls.
Red Cards for CPL 2023
The new rule that has been introduced for CPL 2023 is Red Cards. In the updated rules, if the fielding team is too slow, there's a chance that one player might be asked to leave the field during the 20th over.
This could significantly impact the game for the batting team, but it's the most extreme measure in a set of new rules created to address slow gameplay. Even batting teams can get a five-run penalty if they take too much time.
In T20 matches, each team must complete their overs within 85 minutes. This rule will be closely enforced, with specific time targets for completing the 17th, 18th, and 19th overs.
The teams participating in the CPL have been the same ever since the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots replaced the Antigua Hawksbills in 2015. However, each year sees some new players and exciting performances by all six squads. Let’s take a look at each of them before the next season starts.
Barbados Royals - CPL 2023 Update
The Barbados Royals, who have secured the CPL championship twice, are approaching this year's tournament with renewed vigor. Despite reaching the final last season, their potential performance remains uncertain for CPL 2023.
The team has infused fresh talent into their roster, introducing young players like top-order batter Alick Athanaze, seamer Akeem Jordan, batter Kevin Wickham and wicketkeeper Rivaldo Clarke.
Retaining their core strength, the team still includes Jason Holder, Kyle Mayers, Justin Greaves, Joshua Bishop, and Nyeem Young from the previous squad. The mix of experienced and new players sets the stage for an intriguing CPL 2023 campaign for the Barbados Royals.
Guyana Amazon Warriors - CPL 2023 Update
Consistently the runners-up and yet to claim the championship, the Guyana Amazon Warriors always seem to secure the second position. Among the nine seasons they've participated in, they've clinched the runner-up spot six times. Last season was no exception. Though securing a top 2 spot again, the GAW team lost their qualifier to 2022 Champions – Jamaica Tallawahs.
The upcoming season witnesses an infusion of talents into their lineup. Notable additions for this season include Colin Ingram, Keemo Paul, Mathew Nandu, Junior Sinclair, Shai Hope, Veerasammy, and Ronsford Beaton.
Retaining their core strengths, the team still boasts Chandrapaul Hemraj, Shimron Hetmyer, Gudakesh Motie, Romario Shepherd, and Odean Smith. As the Guyana Amazon Warriors gear up for CPL 2023, the blend of fresh talents and seasoned players sets the stage for an enthralling season.
Jamaica Tallawahs - CPL 2023 Update
Last season Champions Jamaica Tallawahs are all set to make waves in the upcoming CPL 2023. Having experienced both highs and lows, they are gearing up to showcase their cricketing prowess on the field.
The prospect looks promising, particularly with adding new talents to their ranks. Notable newcomers include Hayden Walhs Jr.
Retaining the team's strength, the previous lineup encompassed Joshua James, Chris Green, Brandin King, and Shamarh Brooks.
As the Jamaica Tallawahs gear up for CPL 2023, the infusion of fresh talent alongside their experienced players raises hopes for an exciting and competitive season.
St Kitts and Nevis Patriots - CPL 2023 Update
The 2020 and 2021 champions of the league are the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. Their journey to triumph began in 2021 when they clinched their first title, marking a significant shift from years of relatively lacklustre performance. The SKNP had a terrible 2022 season, finishing 5th in the point table.
As they set their sights on the upcoming season, they will aim for a better performance this season with a refreshed roster. Notable additions to their lineup for this year include Dominic Drakes, George Linde, Ashmead Nedd, and Ambati Rayudu.
Retaining the team's core strength, the veteran players on the squad include Evin Lewis, Andre Fletcher, Shefrane Rutherford, Dominic Drakes, Sheldon Coltrell, and Joshua Da Silva.
With a blend of experience and new talent, the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots are poised to make a strong stand in CPL 2023, aiming to continue their reign at the league's top.
St Lucia Kings - CPL 2023 Update
The St Lucia Kings have remained determined in their quest for the CPL title, although victory has eluded them thus far. Nevertheless, they have recently emerged as one of the standout teams in the Caribbean Premier League. Impressively, they secured the runner-up position for the 2020 and 2021 seasons. Last season SLK finished 3rd in the points table and lost their Qualifier game to reigning Champions – Jamaica Tallawahs.
Turning to their current roster, the team is bolstered with remarkable talents, including Faf du Plessis, Chris Sole, and Jair Mcalister. Adding two notable names to this season's SLK lineup are: Chris Sole and Sean Williams.
The St Lucia Kings, driven by their determination and experience, are primed to make their presence felt in CPL 2023. Their consistent performance over the years positions them as formidable contenders in pursuing the coveted CPL championship title.
Trinbago Knight Riders - CPL 2023 Update
Representing Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago, the Trinbago Knight Riders continue to be a force to reckon with. Their outstanding performance in the CPL has been unrivalled, with a remarkable four championship titles, the most recent being in 2020. While their 2021 journey was commendable, finishing atop the league stage, they secured the third spot after the playoffs. While last season was a disaster for TKR, finishing in the last spot – this year, the team is one of the favourites for the CPL 2023 title.
Dwayne Bravo will return to his home franchise, the Trinbago Knight Riders, for CPL 2023 in a significant move. Reuniting with captain Kieron Pollard and coach Phil Simmons, Bravo joins a potential powerhouse squad featuring Pollard, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, and Nicholas Pooran. This lineup aims to bounce back after a challenging last season that saw TKR miss the playoffs for the first time.
The team's core strength is preserved through retained players, featuring Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine, Akeal Hosein, and Jayden Seales.
As the Trinbago Knight Riders set their sights on CPL 2023, their history of excellence positions them as contenders for yet another championship. The blend of big hitters underscores TKR’s determination to claim the title again.

Which Team Will Win CPL 2022?
It’s hard to provide good CPL tips when you have so many great teams, as is the case with this notable Twenty20 league. We’ve had four champions so far, and one of them, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, has only been added to this impressive list after its unexpected 2021 campaign.
The Trinbago Knight Riders still have the most champion titles — four of them, with the remaining two winners being the Barbados Royals and the Jamaica Tallawahs.
The CPL betting predictions and the latest odds for this year are clear — the biggest favorites are the four-time champions, the Trinbago Knight Riders. The odds also show that the other three previous league winners have decent chances of securing the CPL title once again.
Who Will Be the Top Batsman for CPL 2022?
Watching every match in the upcoming season will be interesting, especially with so many great batsmen in the mix. Naturally, it won’t be easy to select the top one for the entire tournament, but a few notable names are certainly the likeliest candidates.
For instance, there’s the talented batsman playing for the Barbados Royals, Shai Hope. The Guyana Amazon Warriors also have two excellent batsmen — the keeper-batsman Nicholas Pooran and the vastly experienced left-handed Shimron Hetmyer.
But that’s not all. You should also consider backing Haider Ali, the young Pakistan batsman from the Jamaica Tallawahs, Evin Lewis from St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, and Andre Fletcher from the Saint Lucia Kings.
Who Will Be the Top Bowler for CPL 2022?
It’s hard to make accurate predictions early on, but we have a few names you should consider.
One of the safest bets is certainly Romario Shepherd from the Guyana Amazon Warriors, who prominently displayed his skills last year. The same goes for his teammate Odean Smith and Dominic Drakes from St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.
Among the likely top bowlers, you’ll also find the highly experienced Mohammad Amir, the left-armed bowler from the Barbados Royals, and the West-Indian pace bowler from Saint Lucia Kings, Alzarri Joseph.
