1xBet becomes new sponsor of Barbados Tridents for CPL 2026

India’s leading betting brand 1xBet has signed a sponsorship agreement with CPL’s Barbados Tridents. The Tridents sit in 5th position in the 2026 CPL at the time of writing this article.
CPL in Numbers
According to official league data, the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) is among the world's most-watched T20 cricket tournaments. The league's cumulative viewership, which counts every time a broadcast or digital stream is viewed, surpassed 1 billion for the first time in 2024, reaching 1.13 billion, before climbing to 1.17 billion in 2025.
“The Caribbean Premier League continues to set new popularity records, attracting more than one billion viewers worldwide for two consecutive years. We are delighted to become involved in the CPL as a sponsor of one of its strongest teams, as 1xBet’s main mission is to support the development and promotion of sport worldwide,” said a 1xBet representative.
The league has earned a special place in the hearts of Indian viewers, as many players familiar to them from the IPL have also featured prominently in the CPL. They range from legends such as Faf du Plessis (Saint Lucia Kings/Chennai Super Kings), Kieron Pollard (Trinbago Knight Riders/Mumbai Indians), and Chris Gayle (St Kitts and Nevis Patriots/Royal Challengers Bengaluru and PBKS) to dual-league superstars like Sunil Narine (Trinbago Knight Riders/Kolkata Knight Riders) and Andre Russell (Trinbago Knight Riders/Kolkata Knight Riders).
Barbados Tridents in CPL
The Barbados Tridents have won the CPL twice, in 2014 and 2019, and finished as runners-up in 2015 and 2022. Their 2026 star-studded squad features elite talent like explosive opening batter Brandon King, world-class wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock, and team captain Chris Green.
“Our team has won the CPL twice, and last season we fell just short of the final. With the support of our new sponsor, 1xBet, we hope to improve on last year’s result and claim the title for a third time,” said a Barbados Tridents representative.
Under the terms of the agreement, 1xBet has become an official partner of Barbados Tridents. The brand’s logo will appear on the team’s kit, on advertising hoardings at stadiums during matches, on social media, and in promotional activities.
