Fans of Test cricket can take finally take a breath and relax again for a few days after one of the maddest weeks ever seen in the international red ball format!
Monday 7th July saw Wiaan Mulder capture the attention of the global cricket world as he closed in on Brian Lara's 21 year world record only to opt against capturing it for himself.
Seven day later, England and India served up one of the great Test matches which culminated in the hosts winning by 22 runs and going 2-1 up in the series.
And just when we all thought it was time to sleep, Australia, or more accurately Mitchell Starc rocked up with the pink ball in Jamaica to bowl out West Indies for 27!
Okay, Okay, what does all of this mean for the World Test Championship?
Good question, let's look at the table:

The 2023-25 World Test Championship winners South Africa are yet to play a game in this cycle so there may well be some value in backing them as they currently prop up the table.
The Proteas return to WTC action when they travel to Pakistan in October.
England vs India - the main event returns next week
The narrow win at Lord's for Ben Stokes' side means that they lead the series 2-1 and India must win both of the remaining Tests if they are to lift the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.
England spinner Shoaib Bashir, who took the last wicket on Monday, has been ruled out for the rest of the series with a broken finger. In his place comes bowling all-rounder left-arm spinner Liam Dawson who many consider to be an upgrade with both bat and ball.
The teams return to do battle at Old Trafford on Wednesday 23rd July!
