BCCI announced India’s Women’s Team for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024

BCCI has announced the 15-member India women’s team for the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024. The lineup of players is an excellent combination of fresh and experienced faces.

Harmanpreet Kaur will be leading the batch of players during the tournament. Team India will be eyeing to lift their maiden ICC T20 World Cup this year. Women in Blue came very close to lifting the trophy in 2020 as they reached the final match in Melbourne but failed to win the match.

Indian women have reached the finals of the T20 World Cup just once. However, when it comes to international cricket, team India is one of the dominating lineup of players.

Considering their recent performance in the T20 format, team India is one of the contenders to lift the prestigious trophy. However, their premier rivals will be the defending champions Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.

India’s Women’s Team was last seen in action during the Asia Cup 2024. They were in fabulous form but things didn't go their way during the final game.

Team India is part of Group A in the tournament. They will have Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka as their fellow group members. The campaign for team India in the T20 World Cup 2024 begins on 4th October and they will play against New Zealand at Dubai International Stadium.

According to 1xBet, the odds are in favour of India for their first fixture against New Zealand.
